We visited Niagara-on-the-Lake yesterday, one of the hottest days of the year. We were also there in January of 2010. It was one of the coldest days of the year.

What a beautiful day out there! I'd definitely take this over winter.

Just wish that I was somewhere around a pool with a drink in hand.

In this heat, you have to make allowances.

Baily LOVES eating ice cubes. Unfortunately, she doesn't allow them to melt slowly as we might; she chomps down and tries to chew them in one go. She typically only gets to eat them outside - half-way through she takes a 3 or 4 minute hiatus. (Do dogs get brain-freeze?) But in those few minutes, puddles develop on the floor and I have to clean them up. - Hence the "only outside" rule.

I just dumped 5 cubes in her bowl and watched her go at it.

Somewhere between my 4:30 am start and the heat (Fans Yes but No Air at home) I did not have the energy to clean up her half-way mess. Hey, it's only a floor and now my dog loves me again!!
