You need to put the tree in water tonight, or you will have to cut it off again tomorrow when you set it up.
The tree will try to heal itself almost immediately after the cut.
Forms a layer across the wound to help the tree hold its moisture, but you don't want that!
You are going to give it water to help keep it from drying out too soon.
If the seal forms across the cut, it can't take water in, or water out!
Water now, or cut again tomorrow if you want the tree to last until New Year's

Went to the last two brekkies and had a great time. We didn't win any prizes but my wife & I both had fun. Didn't win this year so we'll have to feed ourselves.
Have fun Karl.

My Friend just Called, Saying that She is "in a Pickle" again.
Her Car died (again) and She cannot get a hold of Her Contact to Pickup Her Son from the Sitter's.
I am still at w*rk and will Keep Her Updated on my Return-Progress.
She will Call for a Tow and if Her Contact cannot be Reached, I will get Her Son for Her.
Time to Dust-Off the Ol' Cape, it seems.
I live in a Cartoon World as I am surrounded by Characters.

Yes... that's probably why I liked Zon too... I think both bands are classified as "Prog rock".... The week-end that my son had his 15 friends up north, a few of his friends were playing some current "prog rock" and again it was a very similar sound... I must ask them again for the names of the current groups....

I was there a few years ago too.... it was fun but you have to be there so darn early!! I don't know how Derringer and the boys do it everyday!!
They're calling for freezing rain tomorrow, so I don't think I would have gone anyway - even if I did win...
Hope everyone that is going has fun and wins something!!!

Came across a very interesting article about the history of Charles Dickens and HIS story. There is also a link to all his written worx. I was, however surprised that they missed one little known gem entitled "The Sale of 2 Ti++ies" which he wrote under the clever name of Darles Chickens. "Twas a classic!!!!! On this day in 1843, "A Christmas Carol," by Charles Dickens was first published in England. Learn more about the life of Charles Dickens in this post from the blog: http://www.smittenbybritain.com/grea...arles-dickens/
