I've often mused over the fact that the gathered media around the opening of the groundhogs abode are almost certainly utilizing klieg lights to illuminate the dawn scene and consequently it is an inevitability that there will be a shadow created. It is, therefore a setup between man and nature that we'll always have 6 more weeks of w!inter - every year. So suck it up Canada and go back in your burrow until Spring break; unless of course you're into certain winter McSports!!! Enjoy your Sunday, however you spend it.

Ok let's have a party just the same.

A beach party in February, what a groovy thing to do,
Maybe decorate the dance floor like a hut made from bamboo,
Will there be surfer guys & gals there & moonlight style lighting?
Perhaps a little starlight affect would make it most inviting,
Gentlemen, you can wear those t-shirts that enhance your manly pecks,
Knit sweaters & skirts for the girls and leis to adorn your necks,
If there are any ukulele players here, that just might be fun!
You can strum & sing Hookie Pookie & dedicate it to Aloha-Mom,
If you the kind of person who likes to do the twist,
Take the centre dance floor, so your moves will not be missed,
You can also do a conga line, but be careful where you place your hands,
We don’t want any misunderstandings or rolling in the sands,
I do hope it will take your minds off winter’s drudgery & grind,
& boys make sure you wear something that shows off your behind,
Remember your manners & have some fun & even dance the jive,
& of course the golden rule in place, please…DO NOT DRINK & DRIVE.

Chili is simmering, should be great by game time.
I use stew beef as well as ground so it takes five hours to slow cook properly.
Then I can add the beans and some more veggies.

Had a bit of an incident my the way to Barrie yesterday. Lost control of the car and launched it ass-end first up onto the guardrail. Rode the guardrail for about 60 feet and ended up on the side of the highway.
Had the car towed to a lot in Schomberg, then rented a car to get me back to T.O. Looks to me like the car is a write-off, but will have to wait until the insurance company assesses the damage.

A car is just a car; it can be replaced or repaired,
That must have been an experience that left you feeling quite scared,
A group hug is sent your way with thankfulness that you are alright,
