OK my fellow Qbians, mother dearest is insisting she needs a physical copy of a phone book (white and yellow pages) as she shuns all things internet leaving her unable to look numbers up online. Any ideas as to where I get one of these relics? I dont think they are issued by Bell and I have googled a few things but these books are a rare commodity. Coming here as this thread is a wealth of collective knowledge-any help is appreciated while I sit in the corner regressed to sucking my thumb and tearing out my hair...

I know Bell used to have them at their stores???? In my building they drop them off in the lobby and we pick one up. They used too anyway.

Firefighters say an early Sunday morning incident at a downtown co-op apartment building shows why they support new legislation which makes carbon monoxide alarms mandatory in Ontario.
Crews were called to 140 Mann Ave. by Enbridge Gas shortly after midnight and asked to do carbon monoxide readings after receiving complaints from residents of the four-storey building.
According to Ottawa Fire spokesman Marc Messier, firefighters recorded readings in excess of 35 parts-per-million, which is deemed high but not deadly.
The Technical Standards and Safety Authority was notified due to the high readings.
Generally, people experience no symptoms at all when readings like this exist, until they've been exposed to them for about 12 hours.

Investigation revealed a tenant on the fourth floor had been experiencing problems with her hot water and reported "not feeling well," according to Messier.
"Her hot water tank also supplied her heating system," he said.
"There are rads in the ductwork."
Messier said another tenant on the second floor was experiencing similar problems. He said defects were found with the system.
When further investigation confirmed carbon monoxide readings in multiple units on various floors, firefighters evacuated the building and residents were provided shelter on OC Transpo busses.
Paramedics responded to assess and treat nine patients, four of whom required a trip to the hospital.
