Wow, just about to leave the house and heard Kim say the Q to call in for Black Keys tickets. I was the 7th caller so I won them! I'm surprised cause I dialed a few times and it did the ring and hang up thing which usually means they have the winner, I tried once more and he answered! My daughter introduced me to the band's music and I found I liked them quite a bit, they do pretty good for 2 guys and at least they write some blues/rock type stuff not that new crap!!!
Now for that walk!!!
I was waiting around for him to do the contest - glad I did now!

Thanks Chers-I have stayed there before and a couple of others, part of the reason we like to go thru buffalo is a shopping day after the flying day (LOL)
I find Pearson hit or miss and I worked there for a while many moons ago so I know all it takes is a couple of charter flights full of tourists to clog up the Customs hall-gosh I can remember hitting a 3pm summer shift and never stopping till it was time to go at 11pm, just face after face after face! The thing is because we are a little west of the city it takes us about an hour and a half to get to the border BUT it can take that long to get to Pearson from my house if there is traffic. Milton has grown so rapidly that the 401 is a nightmare at times! Plus, to leave from Pearson you need to arrive 2 hours ahead of your flight minimum if not sooner whereas you really dont need more than an hour/hour and a half in Buffalo, it is so much smaller and you have already cleared customs at the bridge so the end of this ramble is that ii can take much longer and be more frustrating for me to fly from Pearson. we started flying from Buffalo when I found a Southwest flight for $29 bucks to Orlando a loooong time ago and we really have not traveled much from Pearson since, unless we/I are going somewhere within Canada

[QUOTE=coyote00;5948833]Good morning everyone

Thanks for sharing your grandbaby's picture rocklobster; she is absolutely divine. Love the smile.

Ecat, so sorry to hear about Whispy.

Chers , truely sorry about your accident. I am thankful that neither you or the other driver were injured
Jester, thank you for sharing the poem. I to miss my mother. It has been 19 years since I lost my mother in a sensless accident on the 401. She was on her way to the airport via shuttle bus to visit us here in Winnipeg.
Thanks to all of you for my new blue, you are all kind and generous.
So very sorry that you lost your Mom in such a tragic way. I know that all of us are glad you're here with us. Mothers are always in our hearts aren't they? You can never turn off the Mom switch no matter what & the sureness of love is always front & centre.

Speaking of flights, I have mine booked for Okinawa for Oct 24 - Nov 10...
(karate seminar and training mostly)
It's about 750 bucks for accommodation,which is more than the 10 bucks a day from last May.
But, there will be hot water and beds in this case.
The airport is due north of here,and I can usually get there in 11 minutes with no unforeseen snafus...I try to get dropped off by one of the kids...Fortunately,I

I hate the fact that you don't know whether they will go up or down. It is so hard to know the right time to book. I've had them go up OR down after hesitating just a day or two. I don't find coming back from vacations too bad, getting the luggage hasn't taken us to long.....$500 is a bit. If you go the Buffalo route isn't that quite the drive back? Anyways, good luck making the right decision. Are you looking at Hawaii?
