Remember games at recess like dodge ball & four square?
& after school did you ever play a game of truth or dare?
Remember the NFB movies that were a reprieve from the usual grind?
& did you always do all your homework in the way it was assigned?
Did you ever make paper mache masks or sketch with india ink?
& did your class have a picture of the Queen & a stainless steel sink?
Do they still perform experiments & do they still use Bunsen burners?
Do you ever miss the days when we were eager little learners?

Yes, I remember good old Nash the Slash and FM!!! So sorry to hear about his passing! Many nights spent enjoying them. Don't have time to read all the articles now but I do remember being at Scarborough Fair at Birchmount Stadium Mechman (well, kind of!!!)

I had a nice mother's day. My daughter made me french toast for breakie, then we went for a bike ride through Thompson Park and had a picnic which she had made up for us with a veggie roti, and various other treats. We went out for dinner later and she gave me a nice card she had made herself, she painted a picture with zebras on it herself because she remembered a picture like it that I liked when we were out once, she also gave me a book with various things about us in it and she also bought me a good quality yoga mat and carrier because we hope to take it up shortly! So I'd say she is pretty thoughtful that's for sure!!!! What a nice gal!

Still feeling so happy for Old Blue! I know he must think he woke up and ended up in heaven!!! Yeah!!!!! Now if only Sam and Iggy etc could get going.......!!!! soon please!!!!

California Highway Patrol Saves a Scared Chihuahua

Why did the Chihuahua cross the road? No one knows why, but we're glad he's safe!
Last Friday, California Highway Patrol received several calls about a small dog running between lanes on the northbound I-680 in Walnut Creek during rush hour. When officers arrived on the scene, they spotted a tiny Chihuahua perched on a roadway median.
"We attempted to coax it, we could tell it was very frightened, it was shaking," said CHP Officer Alex Edmon. He and his partner were able to coax the dog to safety by using a protein bar as bait. "We were able to pet it a little bit, but other than that we could tell it was not happy."

Contra Costa Animal Services in Martinez, CA now has the dog in their care. If the dog's owners don't come forward, she already has lots of offers from animal lovers who would love to bring her into their home.
"The little Chihuahua found on Hwy 680 yesterday is recovering in our shelter after her traumatic experience," the organization wrote on its Facebook page. "We are keeping a close eye on her condition and will post another update when we know more. She may already have a home if her owner doesn't come for her!"
Thank goodness this adorable little pup is now in good hands -- and far away from the freeway.

hope you all had a great day. there are 2 things that i don't like about my new job. 1-NO RADIO of any kind allowed, 2-not allowed to use the internet for anything other than work related issues. the internet i can live with, but it's been a real challenge without music. this is the 1st place i've worked at that doesn't have a radio or music playing. ahhhhhh

Habs won game 6, 4-0, now back to Boston for game 7.

Good day all - slept in after a night of deep dreams. Made brunch for the kween and me and then out back to mow the meadow before it rains. Big congratz form my new pink to Aloha's new pink heart. Beautiful pic of sunny Abigail - hope she has a hat too (equally fashionable of course) I'm fascinated to learn what Mexican train dominoes entails Chers- it does sound almost naughty!
