not that it matters but ann is my age, the sil from hell's age and my

sorry to just show up with nasty info
That is the problem with many or even most tumours. They do not become symptomatic until they are well on the way to causing damage. Pain is a symptom that often means the tumour has been growing for a very long time. Tumours often do not show up on Xrays. You need to have MRI's & CT Scans of specific areas of the body. Who does that routinely.

I hope your Dad's step daughter is getting good care now. The only thing they can probably do is manage her pain & keep her comfortable. Is she eligible for any clinical trials or other really aggressive therapies? I guess they are doing all that they can.

I know how much this must be causing worry for you & your family.

Paying the price this morning for overdoing it yesterday. After I got back, I decided to work on organizing my laundry closet. I had a huge 8kg bag of flour that needed to be dealt with (I had bought it on sale ages ago, but hadn't needed to dig into it up til now) as well as doggy & kitty kibble. I spent a couple of hours sifting the flour and putting it into smaller manageable containers (still have to figure out where in the kitchen I can store the darn things, my island is too well stocked with canned goods - no fear of starving during the zombie apocalypse here, we'll just stay inside & munch on fruits and veggies and tuna ). Then I put the bags of kibble into the correct containers (had to keep reminding Quincy cat that he should not be wanting dog food, although I suspect his continued presence had more to do with not letting Lily dog sneak a snack ). I then decided to make banana bread, but since I forgot to take the main ingredient out of the freezer, that got put on hold til today. I did manage to shred a block of cheddar for the hot cheese dip I'm taking to my friend's for Thanksgiving (been going there for over a decade, this year my Mom's coming with me now that my Dad is gone). My friend is playing chauffeur and driving us out to the wilds of the no-internet suburbs either tonight or tomorrow, so if I vanish, I'm off having fun.

Saturday morning will be fun, I'm supposed to help my Mom make apple strudel (we're cheating and using phyllo pastry (cause anyone who's ever made strudel pastry knows the agony of making it paper thin only to have a gaping hole right in the middle and having to start from scratch). No doubt Lily dog will be anxious to help with consuming the apples, that should be fun having a dog half in my lap while I try to slice apples.

Better get started with the chores. Or take a nap. Or play with the critters.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.
Have wild fun in the wilderness happy tanxgiving Andi

    Good Morning.
Jester thanks for the Steve Hackett tracks and Genesis live, which I’m listening to right now nice and loud as everyone is in China at this year’s conference so I’m alone in the office. As for Hackett, I enjoyed the concert in Oakville a year ago and have tickets to see him at Massey Hall in December. The boss always feels guilty if I get stuck in manning the fort while they go to china for a week or two, so this year he says he’s going to take our group to LA and have a combined Christmas party.First thing I did was check the concerts and who playing at the main clubs like the Troubadour and Whiskey.Well Hackett and Fleetwood Mac are both playing but I already have tickets to see them in Toronto before I go.Will have to keep looking. Thinking of taking a couple extra days and diving Hwy # 1 to San Francisco along the coast. Did it 44 years ago with the family.

thanks looucie, and you are right in that she is quiet about this
signing , and so all i can do is ask, but gee.

and all one can hope is that ann is comfortable in the
    pallatives care.
i meet ann once, and she sent me a christmas card once,
and we spoke on the phone a few times,,,
i think i shoud visit her, of course have no religious thingy
    (she is very religious)
    to say, but,, sighing,
one can imagine i'd be lousy at such as this, but i could attempt it.

    worthy of repeating...

Julie Andrews Turning 79 - this is hysterical!
    >
    >
    > To commemorate her birthday , actress/vocalist, Julie Andrews made a special appearance at Manhattan 's Radio City Music Hall for the benefit of the AARP. One of the musical numbers she performed was 'My Favorite Things' from the legendary movie 'Sound Of Music'. Here are the lyrics she used:
    >
    >
    >
    > (Sing It!) - If you sing it, its especially hysterical!!!
    >
    > Botox and nose drops and needles for knitting,
    > Walkers and handrails and new dental fittings,
    > Bundles of magazines tied up in string,
    > These are a few of my favorite things.
    >
    > Cadillacs and cataracts, hearing aids and glasses,
    > Polident and Fixodent and false teeth in glasses,
    > Pacemakers, golf carts and porches with swings,
    > These are a few of my favorite things.
    >
    > When the pipes leak, When the bones creak,
    > When the knees go bad,
    > I simply remember my favorite things,
    > And then I don't feel so bad.
    >
    > Hot tea and crumpets and corn pads for bunions,
    > No spicy hot food or food cooked with onions,
    > Bathrobes and heating pads and hot meals they bring,
    > These are a few of my favorite things.
    >
    > Back pain, confused brains and no need for sinnin',
    > Thin bones and fractures and hair that is thinnin',
    > And we won't mention our short shrunken frames,
    > When we remember our favorite things.
    >
    > When the joints ache, When the hips break,
    > When the eyes grow dim,
    > Then I remember the great life I've had,
    > And then I don't feel so bad.
    > >>>>>>>>>>>>> > >>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>

I regret to inform you that Stewy and myself are only legally incorporated partners.
We are no longer friends after he stole the funds I embezzled from him and I had
to report him to the internal revenue service after which he informed by girlfriend
of my extra curricular activities then I sank his boat and he shot me in the leg.
Other than that we're good...... it's probably a temporary break-up.

The perfect boss I'd say. Hwy # 1 is so magical although going south is more generous to the eye than north. We would do it again in a heartbeat. PCH rules!
This song always brings Cali to mind

Can you believe it that today is John Lennon's 74th birthday? Sure can't help but wonder how life would have worked out for him. This is one of my favourite pictures of him.
