Good morning, everyone.
Zapping went well yesterday, but had a wee bit of a headache, so no computer play time for me when I got back home. Had a lovely dinner (yes, I was stuffed from the schnitzel), then sent my Mom & bff home so I could nap. Now I'm up extra extra early and wide awake. Have to go back later this morning (once the sun is actually awake
) to make sure all is well. The cute young doctor learning to be a specialist did the actual zapping while my specialist supervised. Why is it that they wave eye candy at folks who can't see, er, ahem, appreciate the sights.
Lee, sounds like a fun concert. Last time I saw Blue Rodeo was at a music fest at Ft York (talk about amazing acoustics!) many many years ago back in the dark ages when they were youngsters.
Ecat, sorry about the computer woes. Been there done that way too many times (anyone else mourning DOS?). Hoping you get some good news today.
Aloha, congrats!!! Nothing like having a new baby in the family.
I just found out at Thanksgiving that one of my 'nephews' (well, bff's nephew & his young bride are expecting - apparently they brought back an unexpected souvenir on their honeymoon). My poor 'niece' just about choked when I asked how the baby was, meaning of course their dog.
Better go try to catch up while the sleepyheads are still in bed.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

have a sad news post, my dad's girlfriend joyce's daughter
ann died -
(ann was my age and the sister in law from hell's, and my cousin)
ann went into the hospital to figure out why she had
so much pain, a tumour the size of a baby was found
and so surgery was set.
then as a result of the biopsy - a very aggressive cancer.
and after a few days, all hope was gone.
ann never made it to the palliative care area.
guessing some have seen/heard this poem before
written by mary elizabeth frye:
i suggested it for my dear aunt jean's service,
and read it to her mom yesterday,
although i needed kleenex'
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there. I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
thinking i will hear it on saturday, although one could be hopeful
that the thoughts in the poem,,,,
feel silly to ask but,,,
(i have one pair of dress pants - size 16, i have shrunk to a 6,
not sure if i can shop so,,, any ideas?)

Good morning every1. Boy for a short week, it sure felt like a long one, but
Ecat - good luck with the computer issues.
Andit - happy things went well
Lee / Hteam - glad you enjoyed the concert. The last time I saw Blue Rodeo was @ the Amphitheatre @ the C.N.E.
Aloha - congrats on the new baby.
