My trip is coming up very very shortly now - plane leaves at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow night for London, then a 3 hr wait for the next one and we will be in Istanbul and our journey begins.

Day 5 we take a smaller plane to Kayseri and then on to Cappadocia which should be very interesting

...well, just out of hospital last week after 1 month (instead of my usual 3 months rehab stay).....ew yuk, but it's behind me now... I'm looking at the pic you posted about your upcoming trip.....WOW!!!....look at that architecture, it's beautiful!!!....I guess you'll be taking oodles of photos when you get there....if it's like that pic wherever you go, you will get cramp in your hands from all the pic buttons you'll push!!,,,,,LOL!!!

Good afternoon, have not been on since before Halloween, we had only two turn up. Took long weekend to work on the roof, was hoping to finish but still a long way to go. For the 22^nd I will try but it may depend on roof and weather. I have been to that Lonestar, can’t say the food was good or bad but it’s been four years and never felt a need to go back.

Just got back from a cold, windy, wet walk. Not fun @ all. Now I have to get ready to leave for puppy training class. Have a great eve every1.

Did anyone else see the interesting documentary on TVO last night?

They made a very compelling argument that World War I
was created mostly as a result of royal family rivalry.

This war cost million of lives making
the Hatfield and McCoys feud pale in comparison.

Queen Victoria died in Wilhelm's (eventually Kaiser Wilhelm's) arms at Balmoral castle.

He, however, was apparently a very crass individual and not accepted by his cousin
soon to be Czar Nicholas and uncle ( I think) King George V.

Competition ensued leading to an arms raced and......you guessed it....millions of unnecessary deaths.

You wonder why I don't support war.

It took 100 years for the real cause of World War I to become clear.

ecatt - a 3 hour layover may seems like a long time but it really isn't. by the time you disembark and find the next gate, it'll almost be time to board the next flight!
