it gets better. needless to say I left the car at the legion, and my coat which of course has the keys for the front door in it. so I was sitting at the door waiting for my roommate to come home, which thankfully he did. he just left and I have to go get the car of course I cant lock the front door. I think strong coffee and baileys will help.

Good morning (afternoon? already?), everyone.

Party was a lot of fun last night. Most folks left, but the die-hards stayed til 1am. 3 of us stayed to do the clean-up, not just of the room, but the last remnants of the wine.
Great food (even if the little heathens around here scarfed it down as soon as I put it out - I learned my lesson & started putting a few things aside for myself before I put things out after the first round
). I spent the whole day doing last minute things, prettying up the room, prepping some of the food, then finally got to bed around 3am. Then another hour or so this morning resetting the furniture in the room & do a quick clean up (after your third glass of wine, you don't really notice the asiago dip on the floor
).
Today is a day of rest for me (my feet are killing me!). If I feel brave, I might venture over to my neighbours & go to the Xmas market (it is so pretty, but yesterday they had something I'd never seen before - the huge complex was so crowded with tourists, they actually had to control how many people entered).
Off to make lunch for myself and the brats (I don't trust them in the kitchen or I'd ask them to do the work).
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Some of my Qbee friends accidentally engaged in over consumption,
I know that facing the morning after makes you wonder 'what ever happened to gumption'?
Your mouth may be dessert dry & your head may be pounding a 2/4 beat,
Sometimes when you feel that way, you may set your dial to retreat!
You know that you're feeling pangs of hunger, but eating is not a good thought,
Having a blast was your intention, but a hangover was not in the plot,
I heard many years ago, that white vinegar & hot water helps,
But I also think that very idea of gulping that, may only result in yelps,
Hair of the dog, we've heard of that & sometimes it works just fine,
Maybe just remember your motto... never again until the next time.
Feel better all you Jingle Ballers, I am glad to hear you all had a great time last night. Love the pictures & hope we can all be together again soon....

Sometimes older people have trouble taking to new technology.
A daughter is visiting her father and is helping in the kitchen.
She asks: "Tell me, Dad, how are you managing with the new iPad we gave you for your birthday?"
This 30 second clip is spoken in German, but understandable in any language.

The stunts are a bit scary (& apparently Mr MacAskill had a long recovery time from one accident which delayed filming), but the storyline is clever. Somehow it made me think of an extreme production of Starlight Express (except with less singing and more stunts).

Rockit, glad you had a good time, but sounds like you've been busy.
CRN, I knew you'd have a great time. Happy you have today to recoup.
As for those of you that went to the Jingle Ball, you have today as well. Good thing from what I hear. Glad you all had fun, & I hope every1 else enjoyed their w/end too.
For me, the whole w/end has been a busy one. Had some friends visit, I went to another friends last night, housework of course, there's always some of that, cards have been mailed, and all the Christmas gifts are wrapped. The only thing left is the baking, which I can't start until the 23rd. Maybe now I can relax.
