Good morning, everyone.
Sorry I went awol. All is well around here, just busy and a little more odd than usual. In the last week, I've had the annual nonsense with the condo AGM, got through the dreaded dinner event with someone I'm not fond of (who apparently thinks I'm sweet and wants to be friends?!?!?!?!), had a tiff with bff (I never ever fight with folks, especially those I'm close to, but certain buttons were pushed - good thing is that we're even closer than before), dealt with a cranky computer who refused to let me log in to any of my accounts (still have no clue why, but at least it's no longer being obstinate). Oh & I started an exercise routine (neighbour wanted company to go work out, so I offered to keep her company - now I'm sore all over & it's only been 1 part session!). I've also been doing a lot of thinking - in the last 2 years, I've been so busy trying to put out fires, I've lost my focus. Thankfully, I have the brats to give me a sense of balance in life.
So, here's to re-evaluating some priorities and getting things back in order.
Starting with the needy roommates who want to play. And play. And play. And eat.
Hope everyone is well. Happy Birthday/Anniversary to anyone I missed and Happy whatever-you-want-to-celebrate (like the fact I have rain and not sn*w today) to all.
Have a wonderful day.

I just had to share this. It got into my heart. It is a beautiful story of God’s love shown in nature.
In a recent front page story of the San Francisco Chronicle, you would have read about a female humpback whale who had become entangled in a spider web of crab traps and lines. She was weighted down by hundreds of pounds of traps that caused her to struggle to stay afloat. She also had hundreds of yards of line rope wrapped around her body, her tail, her torso and a line tugging in her mouth.
A fisherman spotted her just east of the Farallon Islands (outside the Golden Gate) and radioed an environmental group for help. Within a few hours, the rescue team arrived and determined that she was so bad off, the only way to save her was to dive in and untangle her. They worked for hours with curved knives and eventually freed her.
When she was free, the divers say she swam in what seemed like joyous circles. She then came back to each and every diver, one at a time, and nudged them, pushed them gently around as she was thanking them.
Some said it was the most incredibly beautiful experience of their lives. The guy who cut the rope out of her mouth said her eyes were following him the whole time, and he will never be the same.
May you, and all those you love, be so blessed and fortunate to be surrounded by people who will help you get untangled from the things that are binding you. And, may you always know the joy of giving and receiving gratitude.
I pass this on to you, my friends, in the same spirit.

What a nice story, 22. Thanx for sharing it.
Well the rain has started here. It was coming down in buckets, but has lightened up to just gentle showers.
Andit, it always good to re-evaluate your priorities.NASCAR SEASON is complete for 2021.

Remember freedom
BY A 15-year-old SCHOOL KID who got an A+ for this entry (TOTALLY AWESOME)!
The Lord's Prayer Is not allowed in most
US Public schools any more.
A kid in Minnesota , wrote the following
NEW School Prayer:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.
If scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.
Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That's no offense; it's a freedom scene..
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.
For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all..
In silence alone we must meditate,
God's name is prohibited by the State..
We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks...
They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong,
We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong..
We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles...
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.
It's scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school's a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!
Amen
Good afternoon. I guess you have to pay for the good times. Thursday the great news about my health Friday went to a good Jay’s game with my son and had a great time. Saturday afternoon a great day out on the water with a good meal and the game on the radio. Late Saturday sitting watch TV when the wife hears this odd noise and goes in the kitchen and I hear this oh my god. Run in, and water in pouring though the ceiling and lights fixture, broken fixture in the bathroom up stairs. Going to have to rip out part of ceiling to make sure we don’t get mold, at the time it look like it wrecked my wife’s silk wedding gown that my mother hand made for her, but we think we got the stain out, time will tell. Two floods this year, one the year before with the ice storm, and of course the monster storm flood that destroyed everything we owned at the time. I think I’m going to have to park Knottythots the boat inside!!
Gman congrats on the new heart
Jester – glad some of the rest of old rockers got identified I only knew The Who and Windwood
Mechman – thanks for post the review, been listening to the CD for the last few days. Looking forward to the concerts.
Hicks great pictures
Hteam – congrats on finding a new place
Rockit – Mexico in February sound a lot nicer than Toronto in February!
KT, what's with you and water? If you're not taking the boat out on the water, it's going out of it's way to come to you. Don't mean to make light of it, but 3 floods, omg, enough already !!
Blue Jays-Orioles postponed
Inclement weather has forced the postponement of tonight's ballgame in Baltimore between the Blue Jays and the Orioles. A double-header has been set for tomorrow starting at 4:05pm.
