Feel good Florida story

An 83-year-old in Florida named John Joyce makes money mowing lawns. But his 20-year-old truck died recently, and he'd been pushing his lawnmower several MILES just to get to each house. So one of his customers started a GoFundMe page earlier this month, raised $13,000 for a new truck and had enough money left over to pay for the insurance AND buy him a new lawnmower.

Good morning
Jester – thanks for posting the Phil Collins article. Wish it was a Genesis album and not a solo work. Loved his earlier solo work but then started to lose my attraction. I have a friend, who was a photographer; he actually started out taking Genesis pictures. He got to know the band, and at a Toronto concert just before the 1984 Genesis reunion Phil gave him a cassette. It was a copy of the Face Value album about two months before the release. Of course we played it all the time, including at the reunion and were freaking people as it was unreleased. Wish I could find my copy of that tape as it had one song that was not on the released album. Maybe it will be on the rerelease.

Wow! what a gem of a story about your friend the photographer.

Phil seems to have written his best solo works after relationship break-ups so this new material could be promising again. I wouldn't rule out him getting together with Banks and Rutherford to do some new Genesis material down the road either - just hope they can all stay healthy

If you love cats, even if you don’t own one, there are tons of other ways to get close to a kitten today.

Here five things a cat lover should do to bond with their pet or be near some adorable kittens.

Spoil your cat with new toys!

Remember that ball that you bought your cat once? The one they played with for 10 minutes before they forgot it forever and went to investigate the noise they heard outside? Well it is time for a new one. Shower your pet with a new play item they can entertain themselves with for the day.

Call Uber and pay $30 for 15 minutes of playtime with kittens

Uber is offering #UberKitten deliveries for just one day. If you happen to fall in love with one of the deliveries, have no fear because they are all available for adoption as well!

Donate to a local animal shelter

While it is important to make sure your cat gets the attention it deserves, shelters are always looking for donations for the animals they look after. Shelters like the Toronto Cat Rescue are always looking for people to donate supplies, too! Food, litter, toys, and blankets are just some ways to help out a kitten in need.

Visit a cat café

If you were planning on going out for lunch today, why not try visiting a cat café? These cafes allow you to play with some loving cats while you snack on some delicious treats. In some cafes, visitors can even inquire about adoption for some cats!

Sit down and tell your cat you love them.

Most importantly, sit down and have a nice cuddle session with your cat today. They may not listen, but you should still tell them you love them.
