Alleged Terror Suspect Killed By RCMP In Confrontation

A 23-year-old suspected ISIS sympathizer believed to be the lone suspect in a suicide bomb plot on a major Canadian city was killed Wednesday during a dramatic police takedown in Strathroy, Ont. The suspect was well known to Canadian intelligence and police officials for his support for the Islamist terrorist group.

Charges Possible After 3 Children Found in Hot Car in Milton

Police in Milton say charges could be laid against the mother of three young children who were found in a car that was parked in hot weather in a retail parking lot Wednesday evening. Halton police say they were called at about 6:45 p.m. after someone noticed the children aged between 4 and 12 in the car as it sat in full sunlight in an "expectant mother" parking space. It was 32 degrees Celsius outside at the time, although the humidity made it feel warmer.

Canadian Women Grab Another Medal in Swimming

The Canadian women's 4x200-metre freestyle relay team won bronze at the Rio Games on Wednesday night. That's the third medal for 16-year-old Penny Oleksiak of Toronto.

Yesterday did not go according to plan. I did not make it to my appointment at PMH. I spent the day in emerg at another hospital due to other issues. I was dehydrated & needed to be placed on IV fluids. I was well taken care of & thankfully was able to get home around 7ish last night. I was in no shape to make the trek in the city yesterday, so I had to cancel my appointment & reschedule it for next week.

Thanks for this @Mechman47 . We've been listening for the last few days and it's pretty good. DJ's seem to ok so far (from what I've heard). The music is so similar to the Q. I wonder if they have the same program directors being that they are both Corus stations....???

In a couple of weeks I'll be up at the cottage. I will have to check out this B101 station. Normally I listen to a Gravenhurst or Bracebridge station. I think it is call The Moose.

In the meantime, I will enjoy the new tweaked format that Q107 has to offer. It took them about two years, but I think they got it right now... at least from my point of view.
