What a full weekend. Karate tournement, apple picking, movie and dinner with friends and family. Today is my daughter's 12th birthday. Where does the time go???

Good morning, everyone.

Lily dog & I went out this morning, only to be greeted by the melodious sounds of construction equipment tearing metal apart. I looked over to the street & saw a row of police cars. I wondered if we were about to witness a police raid...then I realized they were getting ready to shoot Rookie Blue. Maybe there will be gunshots later.

I'm on my way to a special event sponsored by Mirvish at the Lightbox. Yeah, I finally get to see the building.

A new world record was set in Japan when 13 dogs jumped rope at the same time.

I tried teaching Lily to jump rope, but apparently all training methodologies require a human who is able to demonstrate. When I tried to teach Quincy, Lily was ever so helpful at holding her end of the rope. Too bad Quincy was more interested in playing with the rope than jumping over it.

Good morning Q folks!

Our friend Tad01's daughter has turned the sweet age of twelve,
A curious age where a young gals dreams delve,
An age where the bonds of friendship are there to help you endure,
The days when you feel sad & you’re not feeling sure,
Your tastes more gourmet; like lattes that are steamy,
& there’s a guy at school who is so beyond dreamy,
You’re starting to realize that endurance is very rewarding,
Though your views sure do differ from your Daddy’s according,
You sweeten up each day, like a blossoming rose,
From your tastes in music, & your great taste in clothes,
You give parents that look when you want the lecture to conclude,
& you wonder sometimes “why must they intrude”?
You like being out with your friends’ maybe catch a movie,
If you’re lucky you have Grandparents, still totally groovy,
What a wonderful age to be turning today,
& so many wishes will be heading your way,
Before you know it, you’ll become a teen,
& that is truly mesmerizing new scene.
