An out-of-towner drove his car into a ditch in a desolated area. Luckily, a
local farmer came to help with his big strong horse, named Buddy. He hitched
Buddy up to the car and yelled, "Pull, Nellie, pull!" Buddy didn't move.

Then the farmer hollered, "Pull, Buster, pull!" Buddy didn't respond.

Once more the farmer commanded, "Pull, Coco, pull!" Nothing.

Then the farmer nonchalantly said, "Pull, Buddy, pull!" And the horse easily
dragged the car out of the ditch.

The motorist was most appreciative and very curious. He asked the farmer why
he called his horse by the wrong name three times.

The farmer said, "Oh, Buddy is blind and if he thought he was the only one
pulling, he wouldn't even try."

HAPPY CATURDAY/BATURDAY!

still a little chilly out & yes had the heat going on the way to work. hoping it actually warms up by this afternoon.

Saga was an awesome show. all the guys in the band were fabulous. they had a new drummer from TO playing & he was out of this world. you could tell the band was enjoying themselves, lots of smiles & kibitsing around. each member except for Michael did a solo song. spent the evening with a great band & great friends. the openning band was called Dave Bartlett Trio & they played instrumental. 1 song they did bring on stage a former member of the Alan Parsons Project to sing the only song that had words. the drummer that was in the trio, played last week for the Blushing Brides. pics to follow later tonight.

Good morning, everyone.

Had a great time last night, how could I not with such great company.

Off to the Green Living festival at Dundas Square in a little while, then errands on the way home. Going to go back tonight with some friends & relive my lost youth by listening to Platinum Blonde. Wonder if they still have hair?

Hope everyone has a wonderful day (especially Psells - maybe you'll be allowed to drive your Cruze for a treat? ).

Batman was awesome, lots of great twists. Joseph Gordon Levitt was really good, but he kinda seemed to be doing a Mark Wahlburg imitation at times. Anne Hathaway was incredible, the best Catwoman by far, played her like a petulant teenager who cant deal with the reality of adult lonliness and responsibility. Many scenes were stellar and I dont want to give away any spoilers. A few stood out to me from a film making perspective-there is a good fight scene half way through with Bane and Batman. Chris Nolan put in no music, just the sounds of the punches and kicks connecting and gave it some realism that you dont expect in a film where you need to suspend your disbelief, it was an interesting approach to a fight scene imo. Loved Michael Caine, he was great as always and I want to run away with Gary Oldman-he is incredible in anything he does (sigh) I think am going to have to go see it again before it leave the theatres...

It has its privleges & it also has perks,
We can be who we are, despite all of our quirks,
As you know, the yearly appearance of birthdays is a growing trend,
& all of us appreciate your zingy one liners & we are glad to have you as our friend,
I certainly wish I could offer you some valuable birthday advice,
But I think I have it figured out, that it isn't always all that precise,
So being born upon this day puts you in the "cancer" astrological category,
& I hope that many things make you smile when you reflect on your memory inventory,
Old enough to know better & young enough to remember it all,
& that my friend is a philosophy that you can take to City Hall,
Enjoy your day & blow out those candles & maybe take it section by section,

Thanks everybody! I'm spending my day driving my youngest to Ottawa for a field hockey tournament, but at least they are having a light show on Parliament Hill tonight in my honour. Well, sort of in my honour - with my tax dollars.
