Good morning all.
Aloha - I'm so happy your son's project was so successful.
Andit - Jake was like Lily. To date, he'd only poop on our walks, but I was spared this morning. He went out back to pee while I got dressed, & did his business too.
Have a great day every1.

Hey Everyone!
Depending what shopper's drug mart you are near andi they have 1/2 price chocolate and valumart did too yesterday. It is so overpriced I find even at half price it's often too much!
Gotta move along with the packing - this trip is so much more confusing to pack for, it's longer and the temperature changes somewhat depending what part of Turkey your in and we will be all over, plus the weight thing - on the smaller airline we will take once in Turkey you are allowed less weight than on British Airlines.
Glad your son's costume went over so well alahomom!

Or with MY Halloween candy.
Had intended to be at the cottage but best laid plans .... so, I went out about 4 pm on Friday and got 100 of those one-bite choco bars figuring that would cover up to 50 kids. Then furiously decorated the veranda from the halloween supplies downstairs. Full length skeleton on the front door, blowup pumpkin hanging from the light, HUGE spider dangling from the mailbox, styrofoam head wearing Jason mask & pink clown wig sitting on the back of the chair and metal candle holder with a cut-out pumpkin face & a couple tea-lights placed atop the mailbox (once I jury-rigged it so the top of the mailbox would like flat).
We only had 10 kids. But those 10 (all wee ones) seemed to really like the spider!!Courage is not the absence of fear but acting in spite of it.

My dog is the ABSOLUTE MASTER of hide & seek

Ok I'm undecorating; in & out of the house, and every room. Up & down step stools; bringing up storage boxes from the storage room, washing costumes in the laundry room, etc., etc., etc.
All of a sudden, I realize that I haven't seen Jake for awhile. He's usually right on my heels. I search & search, calling him; in closets, under beds, behind couches, in the furnace room, inside boxes ...........
Ok, now I'm getting panicked. Did he slip outside without me noticing ? Not in the backyard. Walked down the street, checked out the park (only 3 houses away) no Jake. Now I'm really cold & scared. I decided to go door to door. Every1 knows him, & I'd just ask them to be on the lookout & leave my #.
Go into the bedroom to dress more warmly & caught some movement on my bed. I'm so relieved as tears are flowing down my face, but I decide to grab the camera. This was how well he was hidden:

I guess he heard the camera, so he peeked out.

I'm SO THANKFUL he's ok.

Little bugger.

I agree Rockit, definitely a day to get chores done between sporting events.
-- I had my morning coffee watching watching the tennis finals (Milos got the Federer monkey off his back the other day, but the Djokovic one is still hanging on)
-- Curling x 2
-- AAAAAAAArrrrrrrrrrggggggggggooooooooosssssssssssss
-- NFL
-- Nascar
-- F1
The clicker is getting a full workout.
Considering the cottage gets only 2 channels, seems I picked a very good weekend NOT to go!Courage is not the absence of fear but acting in spite of it.

Hey you guys, here's a place that you probably walked past many times in your travels de-yester-jour. I don't think I ever went in that place, but seeing this picture, I can clearly visualize how that intersection & stores once looked. (on my way to Sam's no doubt) I'm thinking that picture must be from the very early seventies...(when Mother Nature was on the run)
