Good morning, everyone.

Weekend up north was fun, even if we did encounter sn*w.

Lily's booboo that had been healing up nicely went wonky at some point while I was gone and on our follow up visit to the vet yesterday, we got some not good news. The infection is either back or never went away or a new one sprung up. So, another course of antibiotics (2 actually) and more $ on the CC (good thing I have one CC devoted to critter care). We go back next week, if all is well, we can celebrate. If not, then we start with a biopsy and take it from there. On the plus side, the vet thought Lily was a lot younger than she is.

The neighbourhood association had a reporter as a guest speaker last night, so my friend who played chauffeur wanted to drop by (turns out they knew each other from a decade or so ago). While at the meeting, my friend ran into someone who seemed familiar (turns out the co-worker from 20 or so yrs ago just retired from being an Ambassador). Lots of fun adventure last night.

Needless to say, it was a late night, so my friend crashed here. I'm the only one pseudo-awake (will likely need a few naps today), houseguest and brats are still asleep. Good thing the laptop keys are quiet. Will catch up later, once I'm actually awake.

good morning,
personally i always find remembrance day a difficult day,
can't turn on any media, without getting a kleenex.
darn i'm running out,
so remembering the ones from my family that fought,
my great uncle hughie, who survived ww1, and of course my
dad's older brother who flew a spit fire in ww 11,
neither one spoke a word about the war they lived through,
which seems to be common, for anyone who lived
such a life.
i thank all people who are brave enough to keep us safe,
