Good afternoon, everyone.
My friends have been trying to keep me busy with fun activities to keep my mind off things. Which would be nice if I didn't need so many naps. Or maybe Quincy cat's subliminal messages are finally working on me?
Been to a lot of theatre lately, which is always fun. The best show on right now is Incident at Vichy (very dark WWII drama). Odd Couple is fun, Heidi Chronicles is amusing (even if I'm not fond of the main character - actress is amazing, Heidi not so much), and Testament of Mary is different (incredible performance by Nancy Palk, but not sure if the author had a point or was trying to annoy Papists ).
At this point, my Mom is still on her own. We went for an overnight visit & the brats kept us up all night - they know something is wrong. On the plus side, I got my Mom on the cancellation list & bumped up her CT scan, so now we hopefully will have an idea how aggressive the cancer is (appt with oncologist next week should give us some answers). I think at that point, I can start the process to apply for CCAC and other help, so it will be easy to get them involved when the time comes. The hardest part of the last few weeks has been dealing with the reality of what 's going on.
On the plus side, I can hear the short one exercising his lungs in an effort to remind me that it is time for dinner.
I'll try to keep in touch more regularly.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Happy Hump Day Q sters,
Last night's show was amazing. Lots of excellent routines that i can see why they had won so many awards & tropheys this year. 1 teacher that has been with her for 22 years, is leaving to pursue her career at the Royal Ballet of Canada. I know that she will be missed greatly.
Andit, i'm glad you were able to get your Mum's scan moved up to finally get a clear picture of what's happening. Thoughts & prayers for you both.NASCAR SEASON is complete for 2021.
Kyle Larson wins his 1st Nascar Championship.

Tragically Hip Fans Need to Check Out This Fan-Created Tribute Site
The news about Gord Downie’s terminal brain cancer has affected every Tragically Hip fan in different ways. While fans are getting angry at ticket scalpers, they are also creating fantastic tributes.
One fan, Christina Parente, created a tribute website. Her website deargord.ca features tributes that other people have created and shared on social media using #deargord and tagging @Dea rgord. It doesn’t matter if the content was shared on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or Flickr, Parente’s site can extract the posts and feature them live on the homepage. If you have a tribute to the Tragically Hip that you would like to share, this would be a great place to have it seen. It doesn’t matter if it’s artwork, a cover song, a quote, or an anecdote, everybody pays tribute in different ways.
Three cancer organizations have provided external links to Parente’s website. That way, people can easily donate if they so desire. Make sure you give it a look–and pass it along to any music fan you may think may get something out of it.
