Had a great day off, got a lot accomplished. Got Rodents snow tires out of storage & put them in her trunk so she could get them put on at work next week, did grocery shopping, pick up some orders I had, put my snow tires on, did some deliveries. All set for the white stuff. Now watching the Leafs/Habs game.

College students back in class Tuesday after MPPs order end strike

It will soon be back to school all over again for roughly half a million Ontario students. College faculty in in the province will head back to their schools today, after a five-week strike was ended over the weekend with back-to-work legislation. The 12-thousand professors, instructors, counsellors and librarians who had been on strike since mid-October will return to work today to prepare for students' return tomorrow. Colleges are extending their semesters so students don't lose their terms but student advocates say trying to condense five missed weeks into roughly two extra ones will be very stressful. They are pushing for students who feel they won't be able to complete their semesters to be allowed to withdraw and receive refunds.

Charles Manson dead at 83

Charles Manson, the wild-eyed 1960s cult leader whose followers committed heinous murders that terrorized Los Angeles and shocked the nation, died Sunday of natural causes, according to the California Department of Corrections. He was 83. Manson repeatedly claimed that he never killed anyone, but prosecutors convinced jurors that he orchestrated the gory slayings by his followers -- known as the Manson family. The murders included actress Sharon Tate and six others in California in 1969.
