An unusually shaped iceberg is drawing onlookers to a small cove in eastern Newfoundland.
The iceberg has a hollow archway carved in the middle and appears to be grounded in the waters just off a Bonavista peninsula community in Upper Amherst Cove.
Photographers have been sharing their shots of the iceberg on social media, prompting people to head to the area north of Clarenville.
The iceberg was known as the Kings Cove iceberg, but was renamed the Amherst Cove iceberg when it drifted across the bay.

The arrival comes after a lacklustre iceberg season in a province known for the prized tourist attraction.
One whale watching and iceberg tour company says it’s seen fewer than 10 icebergs since the province’s prime iceberg season kicked off at the start of May.
Normally, it would have seen 40 to 50 by now.
Last year, Newfoundland and Labrador enjoyed a phenomenal iceberg season, with more than a thousand of the glacial beauties counted off the coast of the province.

With up to $1.6B in savings, should Ontario defund its Catholic schools?

The latest poll ahead of tomorrow's election is out and it zeroes in on school funding. Global News reporter Jamie Muracher tells us the Ipsos poll finds 56% of Ontarians believe it’s time to stop using tax payer money to fund both secular and catholic schools. If the government pulled the plug on funding, a 2012 reports suggests it could save between 1.2 and 1.6 billion dollars every year. We’ve heard little from the three major parties. In fact, so far only the green party has said it would support de-funding separate schools.

Ontario PCs, NDP essentially tied as election looms: online poll

All three major party leaders will spend their last day of campaigning for tomorrow's election close to the GTA. NDP leader Andrea Horwath has four events in Toronto and one in Brampton. Tory leader Doug Ford has five events on his schedule that will take him to Milton, Oakville, Burlington, and Toronto before attending a rally tonight in Caledonia. Liberal leader Kathleen Wynne is spending the morning in Toronto and then heads to Port Dover and Burlington in the afternoon. As for who’s ahead -- a Leger poll released yesterday indicates the NPD and Tories are in a virtual tie at 38 and 39 percent support, with the Liberals lagging far behind at 18 percent.
