Maybe. This was fun to watch as a Bruins fan, but wasn't good hockey. Luongo has to get back on his game though. Thomas is staying consistent. (Consistently awesome). Luongo seems to alternate between a brick wall and a leaky sieve. 8 goals? I love the Bruins, but they're not THAT good. Tonight's story was Vancouver's total collapse. If they don't get it together in the next game it's probably all over.
And by Vancouver 'getting it together' in the next game I don't mean they have to win (in Boston). But they really need to show up since they didn't tonight.
That sure was a different kinda game eh? Vancouver let the Bruins get in their heads. I don't know about you guys, but I'm a little mad at the coaching staff for leaving Luongo out there.. great way to destroy a goalie imo. The poor guy had a floundering team in front of him and was certainly having an off night of his own. I believe you have to be lucky to be good, and good to be lucky. Lu was not lucky last night! Why coaches leave their top goalies in when they're having a bad night is beyond me! It's not even about winning the game, or the chance to. It's about realizing that players have bad days. The Canucks coaching staff seriously abused Luongo tonight.
On the other hand... I'm loving watching TT's style. Super entertaining (even though I cursed him more than once!)
I can't wait till it is all over with so we can get back to watching Corrie!!! I just hate having to wait till Sunday!!:P
Really? I thought it was a great game. They didn't really run away with it until the 3rd and I thought they played well throughout. Would have been better if Thomas got the shutout but still a good game. I hope they did get in Luongos head a bit, now maybe we can have a good series when a couple days ago it almost looked like Van would sweep... and that's not good hockey.
i don't think there was anyway Van was gonna sweep Boston and you knew they had to have a great game at home. Luongo had an awful night but did not want to be pulled he told Vinault to keep him in and so Vinault listened. Maybe not the best idea but when your team gives away a bunch of short handed goals (I believe it was three) and your player puts it in your net then there is definetly more wrong then just your goalie. I think we started to get frustrated and it started to show. We did however manage 40 shots on goal and Thomas just seemed to stand on his head. We knew from the beginning that goalies were gonna win these games and last night Thomas won. I think we will come out bigger tomorrow and play like we know how to play.
GO CANUCKS GO
.
I think it is a good decision. If you know the rules of hockey than you know he had passed the puck, and he shouldn't have needed to look out for a huge hit on him. If you let hits like that go unpunished then good players will always be taken out of games (or careers) just because someone is capable of injuring them.
.
A real Canadian would cheer for whatever Canadian team that is playing for the cup , regardless of the city they live in.
GO VANCOUVER! :top:
It honestly doesn't matter what NHL team you cheer for, you are still cheering for Canadians since we make up the majority of players on most of the teams anyways.
Here is an interesting quote from another board...those that know more can speak up
"Funny thing is Boston's team is made up of 22 Canadian players and the other 11 are from other countries. While Vancouver's team is like 16 Canadian players and the other 15 are from other countries. What is more interesting Vancouver has more American players on the team then the Boston has on their own"
....I'm just saying
GO BOSTON....original six 'til the end
