On a happier note, the downtown SCers are getting together tomorrow at RBC food court at 4:30 (we`re usually there til 6ish or later if we lose track of time). We`re also meeting next week, if you can`t make it tomorrow. Here`s the link to the discussion:

For those into the coupon thing (the other reason for our get-togethers besides the food & chat) & who can make it, post the coupons you`re looking for & we`ll do what we can to find em (I think of it as a fun scavenger hunt to find things that others need).

Hope to see some folks there. I`ll be late, but I`ll bring the boy in my life along (someone obsessed with purses can still be considered a boy, right? ).

I know, as I mentioned earlier, I feel just sick over this, those poor innocent dogs and cats, etc., people have volunteered to foster at least some, I'll bet if they stopped this they would have all kinds of people taking those animals out of there to help them! The last I saw on the news they had already started never mind the word euthanize, they've started "killing" them a few hours ago. This has really made me feel like . I think they should change their name from Prevention of Cruelty to Animals to something else!!! Those poor, poor animals and I don't think much of the people who put them in there in the first place

It's time for a car wash, a burger, a phone call & maybe get ourselves a loan to finance our SC holiday.
Please bring change for the phone booth so we can call home.

just came back from the York Region SPCA
there's about 30 people there..apparently some Pickering College students heard about it and made placards and have been there since this morning...along with anumber of peolple from rescue, and other concerned community members...
a vet from Markham heard about it and came to the site ...and was interviewed by the TV networks...saying this is treatable. A few workers and volunteers walked out and have joined the supporters...
they are continuing with the euthanasia as I write you.
Came home to change into warmer gear and make some food for everyone.........and hot drinks its freezing out there
I have a contact with metroland publishing and encouraged them to send a reporter...
another vet showed up just as I was leaving
tears in my heart...was only this past January that we had to say goodbye to our golden...she was just over 12years...
I emailed the SPCA saying I would sign release waivers and be responsible for treatment..but want to adopt a dog ...............
have also contacted my vet and tech for their support...
whatever else you can think of let me know
sadly a great number are already gone...but hopefully we can save a few
They are planning a service in memory of those who have passed.
Yes the rainbow bridge....................
