What's the best computer game you have ever played?
What games do you play nowadays?

Mine is Day of the Tentacle, it was a very enjoyable adventure game... I played it years ago and it was so fun!

Now I sometimes play Micro Machines V4

fate is the best game i have ever played even though it was only hte trial version because i think that $20 is a lot for a game that wouldnt be played when school starts again

I like the Ratchet and Clank series for PS2, but I'm really not much of a gamer.. .I still haven't beaten Mario from the first generation of Nintendo ](*,)

Hunt down a copy of Grim Fandango. It came out 7 or 8 years ago, but it's made by the same guy (Tim Schafer), and is hands down his best work. It's about a travel agent in the Land of the Dead who arranges how you get there upon your passing. Very cool, very fun, very funny. Still one of my all time favourites.

Rumour has it Tim Burton make be making it into a film.

Yeah I heard of Grim Fandango, but I never played it. Dunno why! I think it's probably because by the time it was out, I was no longer playing adventure games (I had already played Sam and Max, Monkey Island, Day of the tentacle, Indiana Jones...)

But nowadays I don't mind playing adventure games again O so maybe I could try it out sometime. Thanks for the recommendation!

If you're into classical (lucas arts style) adventure games I recommend Ankh

My biggest addictions were/are the original Halo and Bloodrayne....but I had forgotten I had wanted to play Grim Fandango but had a corrupt version years back...will have to try it ! (and all the others listed so far.. haha)

I liked the Sims and Evil Genius. I also quite like the Political Machine.

I picked up The Political Machine recently at Giant Tiger for $4 - I had really wanted to play it when it first came out but couldn't seem to track down a copy. I still haven't gotten around to playing it (I'm sitting on top of a mountain of unplayed games) but I'm looking forward to it. Glad to see I'm not the only one who's heard of it!

I have looked for older computer games and can't seem to find any. Except on Ebay which is maybe where I will have to get them??

When you say "old games", which are you referring to?

I have the original Sims sitting in a box at home (+ every expansion pack, except "Makin' Magic"), that I'd be willing to send to you for just the postage. I loved the game, but I'm hooked on the 2nd one now.

Also, a lot of EB Games stores carry used games for a reduced price and they usually have some new (but older) discounted games too.
