New box of cereal = EXPIRED COUPONS !!

Hello!

I'm a bit upsad because I bought a Special K cereal from zellers last week and I just cut all the coupons off and all of them expired on April 11, 2011!!


Any ideas of what I should do?

I haven't tried it but I've read other threads on here about people calling the company over the same thing and apparently they usually send a replacement. Worth a shot anyway

I never buy cereal at Zellers just for this reason. they had Rice Krispies, with the 5$ Hasbro coupon that expired in feb/mar? , still on the shelf two weeks ago. I don't think they know what rotating the stock means

Happen to me at Metro with Vector cereals (that I go free with FPC).
I wrote to Kelloggs CS thru the website et received 3 coupons of 2$ off their products. Better than 5 x 1$ off specific products

I had the same problem! - Unfortunately I through away the 'free yogurt' coupon so I have no proof

I noticed the boxes of Mini wheats I bought this week that have Coolision FPC's on them have the expiration written on the outside.

As mentioned you can try contacting the company but in future I always read the box to make sure the coupons are still valid before buying. I was in Zellers the other day and they had Quantum with a $1.50 peelie on it. Was considering buying it so I peeled it back and the coupon expired in 2009!!! The bigger shocker was they had a WHOLE shelf full of them with the same peelie on it. I realize that cleaners aren't supposed to have an expiry date but come on.... that product was at least 3 years old if the coupon expired 2 years ago lol.

I find Zellers food not always either rotating or dosn't move as fast I bought 4 Brisk cases one time that all were expired

Ugh I just bought a box of special k yesterday at sobeys, so this thread made me look and sure enough its the one with the coupons that expire aprill 11, 2011 off to write the company

I went to Food basics the other day. I was looking in the clearance. Cereal(can't remember what kind) It had a coupon for frozen fruit. So I grabbed it thinking woohoo. So I turned it over to look at the expiry. It was July 2010!!! But the worst part was. I looked at the cereal expiry and the cereal expired in July 2010 too!!!!

That's why I try tp keep an eye out on SC for the "updated list" of what coupons are on cereal that are still valid.

I had the problem last year (I think) with the Kellogg's coupons. The snack (totally forgot what it was called) was being discontinued and I had tons of coupons to make them free but I couldn't find them anywhere. Alot of people emailed the company and got replacements so when I got around to doing it I got the "too bad so sad" reply
