Some people get friends//family to save them for them, others go on "recycle walks" which means looking through paper recycling boxes the night before or morning they are put out, you'd be amazed at what people throw away!

-Family and friends save them for me
-I trade with other SCers for them
-Some people do recycling walks (I can't because we have the bags, not the bins.

Definitely as pp mentioned. I also put a note up on our mailbox unit which is outside my townhouse complex for all my neighbours to see "offering" to take their flyers for the diaper coupons. They end up giving me the whole flyer usually!

My daughter and my dad deliver the newspaper that the smart source comes in and they always have papers left over that end up in the recycle bin so i take the inserts out before i put them in the recycling. That way I get extra for me and extra to give away.

I'm going to run to the grocery store just before closing and see if they'll just give me any extra. worth a shot right!

I'm curious about recycle walks. For those of you that do, does your success in finding them correlate with when garbage day is? Last year our day was Monday morning, which I think would be a really succesful walk with weekend papers at the top of the bin. Our new day is Friday morning, which I think would involve digging to the bottom of the bin. Am I wrong, or on to something?

My mom works in an extended care facility and some of her residents order the journal. They just end up throwing out the papers after they have read them with the inserts so my mom rescues them for me. I normally get only 6-8 of each so if there is something more that I want I trade for them.

My dad collects them from Mc'Donald's as well for me! We're in B.C.
They offer a free paper with your morning order, and often people leave the flyers, inserts on the table when they leave!
I am sometimes able to find multiple inserts at the recycle paper drop off, near my house as well! I have many apt. buildings, and the flyer delivery people drop off unused bundles!
