If you've got a place/person who needs it, I say why not?
I see no reason to maintain a stockpile of items you don't need but buying things for others? Great idea! I bought a Multibionta 50+ for $1.99 for my mom.
Buying/giving things is just as valid as buying them for ourselves. We've all been victims of cleared shelves and that's just the risk of couponing.Kate

Don't quit cuz someone's critisizing you without knowing what they're talking about. I get free things whenever I can too. There is ALWAYS someone who could use it. If not you, then your mom, or sister, or neighbor, or co-worker, or a shelter...We all know someone (or lots of someones) who are going through a tough time, or could use a hand now and then. We all love getting gifts, even if it's something "funny" like a bottle of bbq sauce. haha! I absolutely do not think 21 dog foods is even remotely "extreme" or rude or whatever they were trying to say. If you have the coupons, and you had in mind a place to send it, then why not? It's Walmart, they probably have 50 of everything anyways. They'll get more stock. Everyone else will get their turn too. It's not like you took 500. How long would 20 bags last yoU? Assuming they're small like the Purina One trial size, it would last me about 2 weeks. So put into perspective, you didnt hoard, you didnt do anything crazy (well, crazy cool, but not crazy!). WHO CARES what some grouchy person says? They should get a warning from someone about how this site is made to help each other, not tear into each other. You dont need to explain your financial situation to us, you dont need to justify your shopping. You found a deal that you could use, adn you used it. Good job! I'm jealous! I'm going to have to look and see if I can find some of those too! I have about 4 coupons, so they wont go far, but still! Great brag! Don't be angry, there's always a "poop-disturber" out there. :p Hugs!

Not cool, dude.
I buy stuff all the time that I don't use/need. Why? Because I have a sister with a new baby, a toddler and a husband that works up North who doesn't have time to coupon but still struggles to make ends meet. She collects coupons for me, though. In exchange for helping me with my coupon stash, I pick up stuff for her when it's on sale.
I buy stuff for friends (one has a disability, can't work- but has two kids, one with ADHD and PDD), family members, co-workers. Because they are grateful for my gifts, they make extra effort to give me their coupons (and ask their friends and families for coupons), which is why I have no problem getting 20+ inserts at a time.
I buy stuff and donate it to food drives, as well.
I agree that shelf-clearing isn't nice, but it doesn't seem to be what the OP is doing. Sour grapes aren't very becoming.

When the printable Denta Stix FPCs came out... I was new to couponing. I used them to build up my 'couponing confidence' :D and got free Denta Stix... I don't even have a dog! But a friend's Chocolate Lab loved 'em.
Pet food is always needed... whether it be for family, friends or an animal shelter. You did the RIGHT THING workin' MaMa!!!
GREAT BRAG!!! I didn't even know there was a way to get free pet food. So, I just learned something, too!

You are right, no one owes anyone an explanation here. But on that same note, I can question if I choose - the OP stated she did not have a dog but bought 21 bags of food (which is a shelf), and I wanted to know why. Now I have an answer, which was all that was required, with the exception of the personal comments. Attacking my personal character for posing the question is what is not cool, but it does not really bother me, all is good

Questioning is fine- but I think the way it was framed very quickly put the OP on the defensive.
"Just because something is free, unless you have use for it I feel it's just greedy. Just my opinion, I love couponing but I would never get a bunch of free baby stuff and clear a shelf just because I could - I don't have a baby."
You started out okay, but then it went downhill. You basically called her greedy and then accused her of clearing shelves. Had I been the OP, I would have seen that as a personal attack.... perhaps that wasn't your intention, but that's how it came across.

I sometimes buy things for FREE with coupons that I don't need, but there are church groups, food banks, women shelters and homeless people whom I met on my way to work...so when I get these I just buy them and pass them on to the less fortunate. Most time I RAOK them at the stores and in the parking lot. Every now and then they are refused to take, but other times they are happy to take them and thanking me for good nature.
I love doing these and that is what I've learned for being a SC'er member.
Please don't pass judgement....I'm not a greedy person and I don't intend too..
Cheers...

Great brag! I agree with the others. Don't quit because someone else has attacked you. I think what you did was fine and you did it knowing you were helping others in need. I'm sure there are a lot of us who buy things we don't need, but have good intentions of sharing our deals
By the way, if you feel like you've been attacked by another member, I would definately be contacting a mod to let them know!!

A little goes a long way!

I don't think that what you did is wrong at all!! And the people who are on here saying negative things and being bullies have already been warned not to act in this manner. I have a puppy and he eats Fromm Family Gold Puppy food, it isn't a brand that I am going to find coupons for and it is expensive but it is my choice what I feed him so i do so. That being said, I have taken advantage of the Free 2kg bag of Purina puppy chow with no intentions of feeding it to my dog......does that make me a bad person?? I don't think so. I have plans of donating to the humane society once i get a good collection of items. Also I don't understand why people get so angry that shelves are cleared and automatically assume that it is couponers.......If it is a good deal chances are there are people who don't coupon also scooping it up. I think we should go by the age old rule.....if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say it at all!!

Don't let things get you down so easily. I buy things on an almost weekly basis that I don't need or use. I buy dog and cat food, and I don't have either. I buy anything I can with a coupon that is free. And I mean anything!!! I have 8 brothers and sisters, both my parents and I also help out my neighbors( they save me coupons, I get them free things). I always can give anything away that is free!!!! We all do it for family and friends and 1 person that you will never meet shouldn't matter enough to quit. Just take it at what it is.... Some people have nothing better to do than put others down. If you are happy with what you did then great. And there's no reason you shouldn't be. Getting something for someone else for free that can use it, is always a good thing!!
Cheers!
