good for you! i never had a problem using coupons with pink sticker items at RCSS until recently. I had a cashier deny me, then the other day i asked the cashier if this was something new and she said yes, they had got a memo from H.O. So everyone better keep an eye open!

Just an idea to avoid the whole 'running home'...I always have my coupons with me in the car. Even if I'm just 'popping out to pick up one item'...cause you never know!

It feels good to stand your ground when you know you are right! I had the same thing happen at an Extra Foods here in Regina (owned by the same company as RCSS) where I spotted an Oral B Pro toothbrush in the discount bin with the great pink 50 percent off sticker! I took it too the cash to see how much it was and to my delight it came up at 21.00 after the 50 percent off, so I handed over the 10.00 off coupon I had for any Oral B Pro toothbrush and got the, sorry no you can't use a coupon on a discounted item. I just kept asking why to every roadblock she tried to put up until she huffed and puffed, rolled her eyes and called a supervisor (who was apparently too busy to come do an override) who told her to enter it in as two 5.00 off coupons because they had to accept it. She didn't flinch when I handed her the 1.00 off coupon for the Crest Outlast rince that had the pink sticker as well LOL

I just don't understand why cashiers think they hold some kind of mystical power to do what they feel is right with coupons when there is a set in place policy, it is frustrating! They seem to feel they have to save the store from the crazy coupon people who are trying to rob them when in fact they get every penny of that money back no matter if the item is on sale/clearance or not!!
