Screamy, I saw an article in the Star this morning that made me think... you are so fricking lucky you don't work in this building anymore. Chiller stopped working, which means there has been no AC this week. Yesterday it was 27 degrees when I got in to the office at 8:30am... and it went up from there!! Today I think the AC is back on, but it still is 26 degrees here now. Thank your lucky stars!!!!

Mine broke last week, I was blah about reporting it since the weather was ok but I seen the maintenance guy in the hall so mentioned it - I am so glad I did, it was so hot even with it on yesterday - I have huge 14ft windows all across one wall in my office so so much heat gets in

I am waiting for the moment when they overcompensate with the fixed AC, and I have to wear a parka. They aren't very good at maintaining a steady temperature here.

It is the same in our building, I have a stand alone heat/ac unit as well as the regular one so its not too bad for me, but some of the offices upstairs are saunas

Oh I will join the no AC post! It was 86 in here this morning (8.30am) Problem in parts of the building, said the security. So I got a fan .. as our animals are way too warm. Now it is down to 81, still way too warm ..

Btw - anyone here live in CityPlace?

For me, I would rather no AC than no heat, for sure. And I am saying this while sitting in 25 degrees, even after the AC was on all morning... I will still choose this over no heat (I have to wear sweaters all summer because the AC is too high everywhere). But for our company, hot is really really an issue for the equipment. Hot server room = bad news.

Okay, yes, I agree - it's worth the extra five blocks each way - the temperature in here is perfect! I don't miss that about the building at all.

I am a creature comforts kind of person - I always think of Drew Carey's bit where he talks about global warming and says "So I'm standing there with an aerosol can [makes spritzing noises] saying 'Screw the grandkids, I'm cold NOW!!'."
