    I read the comments section.
Sure are a lot of people unhappy lining up behind someone using coupons/price matching.

I find the article poorly written in terms that it's smooshing strategies to save in groceries and calling it all couponing. If I relied on coupons to plan my weekly menu, I'd be starving.

Few people realize coupons are worth double the stated value.

    Why?

Because, if you paid cash you'd have to earn double the amount before taxation to have it.

They can be as negative as they want. I'm laughing all the way to the bank!

people should also think of it this way.
Say I allotted myself $10 to spend on deodorant.

I buy 5 deodorants that are on sale for $2.00
I have 5 $1 off coupons so they become $1 ea.
The $5 I just saved is what I use towards my other "healthy" purchases.
They don't seem to get that the money we get "back" in coupons is money saved towards other purchases.
And where they would spend $10 on 5 deodorants, I only spent $5! so budget wise I have an extra $5, which i wouldn't have if I didn't use coupons.

Haters gonna hate. At the end of the day, I love saving money. If I want to eat 'processed salty garbage' and be a 'disgusting gluttonous pig' or 'overweight redneck housewife', or perhaps even 'waste my time', F you, what's it to ya?

My hubby commented, he's pretty proud of all that I save our family and that's all that really matters.

At the end of the day I am saving my family money on the things we need so that we can afford the things we want.

If people refuse to educate themselves on how to make couponing work for them, that's not my problem. Let them live in their ignorance.

I don't read the comments section on articles. It keeps me happier and my blood pressure healthier. :D

I really shouldn't either. People are so ignorant, it's sad.

I've never thought badly of anyone doing what they can to save money, unless it's absolutely gross like eating roadkill like on that one show.

Otherwise though, NOTHING wrong with it. Just seems like people want to put the blame on something that has been unrealistically portrayed by ONE show.
