Don't kill me, but I kinda knew Tuesday had the potential to be kinda wonky for me.

As it turns out that's the only day the doctor can see me in the next two weeks for my laser eye surgery consult. It starts at 2:20pm and is scheduled to run for 2 hrs.

They are going to dilate my pupils, and suggested that I wear sunglasses and go straight home after... and this is just the consult, can't wait for the actual surgery!... but depends on how I am doing, I may pop by after for about 5mins or so.

But unfortunately I'm not gonna be able to stay for the whole meet, and can't confirm one way or the other whether I will actually show. It depends on how I'm doing after the consult.

    Poopy I know!

Ya I'm with screamy on the eye surgery... eeeeeeee

And I'm going tonight to rescue all the flyers that have been left in people's driveways. They should all have their fingers smacked for ignoring the TWO coupon flyers in the paper!

Tell them that you're biting them four times because it's on behalf of yourself, me, Kitty and Sunraven (she looks laid back, but don't tick her off...LOL).

See that's the beauty about being prime minister, once elected it's preeeeeety hard to get rid of me.

But if it makes you feel any better my pain tolerance is pretty nonexistent so I'm scared!! Really scared.

I don't want to add to your fright... but I watched as my DH got his eyes lasered back in 2000...

And it freaked me out... Not fun watching it on screen when my DH's cornea was cut and the doctor used a pair of fine tweezers to lift the flap up... Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!

BTW: He loved that he had 20/20 vision for a good 8 years... He finally had to get a prescription again in 2008...

I guess it is only freakish to the one watching... not so for the one getting it...

So, you will be fine, Sunraven!

Did your DH consider having the surgery done again to fix it or did he just go back to glasses?

OMG, the stories I keep hearing are awesome, one of my friends said yesterday that if I move/flinch the laser could cut my head off... that's comforting, eh?

Apparently they strap you in though to prevent this?

I had laser surgery (diff kind, mine was cause I had a burst blood vessel cause of my weirdo health issues). Yes, they strap you in, a la Hannibal Lector.

In terms of pain, the first time I had laser surgery, it felt like a series of sharp pinches, painful but not excruciating, followed by a headache for a couple of hours. Really not a big deal.

From what I've heard from those having corrective laser surgery, there was a bit of discomfort, but no real pain (well, depends on your pain tolerance, but the one gal is all but an invalid if she stubs her toe).

    I'm sure you'll be fine.

Need the hunting skills of ya'll. Has anyone every heard of Cheetah Power Surge? It's an energy drink whose contest I want to enter, but I can't seem to find the stuff (maybe I'm looking in the wrong places?). All I need is one can, don't even need the contents, the empty can will do. I just figure I'll do better in the contest with a bit of product placement. Anyone?

Okay, no more revolting eye stuff. It makes me nauseous just to read about it. Seriously, if I could, I would delete those posts; I have total OCD about it.

On the plus side: I'm not hungry any more!!

Haha, well I was going to leave this out, but just for you... when my ex got the surgery he didn't find it too painful or anything, but he said the smell was terrible - it was the thing that bothered him the most. Cuz you know, lasers basically cut by burning. Ew!!
