The possibilities are endless as far as what goes in them, and they can be made in no time at all. They help to get lazy people out of bed on the weekends ( the smell forces their bodies to rise )

I've been soooo busy & now realize I need to bake something yummy!!! Maybe some brownies tonight after work would be yummy!!! :blob9:

Truth be told, in our house if I make my famous cheddar cheese muffins, that is pretty much all it takes to wake up the lazy bones.

just took 2 small loaves of homemade bread from the oven, the house smells yummy.

That's awesome - it's what we did, too, and we family members always do baking for family weddings.
Go with some of the things you like yourself - and family favourites, too. They don't all have to be really 'fancy', but it's nice to have some which are.

Some ideas - these all freeze well (only one I'm not sure of is nanaimo bars, which I've never frozen)
Nanaimo bars
matrimonial squares
butter tarts
poppyseed squares
Oh Henry bars
lemon squares
brownies/blondies
scuffles
black bottom cupcakes (chocolate with cream cheese)

And don't forget cookies - just make them small
chocolate chip
snickerdoodles
mexican wedding cakes (Russian tea cakes)
sugar cookies/spritz cookies and/or shortbread
chocolate crinkles

If you want any of these recipes, just let me know.

I made some english muffin bread yesterday in coffee tins. It's so much easier than making traditional english muffins and turned out much nicer in the cans!

I am back to baking bread for the clan here, so yesterday this loaf turned out interesting. If I add teeth and a tongue it could pass for Audrey the plant from Little Shop of Horrors

Nanaimo bars never last long enough in our house to make it to the freezer :rolleyes: Your ideas all sound really yummy.

I'll be making a chocolate cake with white chocolate swiss meringue buttercream and spice muffins with cream cheese frosting for DS's birthday party this week-end.

Did up another loaf tonight ( bread ), thank goodness this one didn't turn out looking like anything weird.

Today I baked a batch of wild blueberry muffins and then a batch of apple cinnamon muffins.

Not sure if this is considered "baking", but I made a delicious bath of peanut butter marshmallow squares today!

I am planning on making home made pizza pops tomorrow. I have made them in the past and they are always a big hit. I bought all of the ingredients on sale, etc. so they won't cost that much to make.

I made Irish Soda Bread! So easy and yummy! :-)
