OMG!! I haven't been able to pamper myself for so many years because of my financial situation, so this is the most amazing thing ever!

As for the trip, I already live in Toronto. Has anyone had a similar experience with this where part of their prize includes a trip to the area where they reside in? Will I still get to stay in a hotel here?

Everything in blue is what I received (and I love it all!!!). I got a call from the person in charge of the prizing yesterday and was told that they are having a difficult time coming up with a substitute to my flight (because I already live in Toronto), so they decided to write me a cheque for $3500 instead and forget about the rest of my prize. At first I was a bit gloomy about it because I know I am not the type of person who can spend $3500 on herself! It would have been so nice to have everything planned out by someone else. But I thought about it and decided that I am still going to try really hard to give myself a bit of a pampering. I'll buy some much needed clothes, get my hair done, and maybe go on a couple of small trips with my bf. The first thing I thought when I was told that I will be getting a cheque instead was, "omg! We can pay off my bf's Visa card and we'll finally be out of debt!!" but he and my mum told me that I am not allowed, lol. They want me to spend it on myself!
