Thread: How does the weather effect you?

It's really damp here, 2 degrees (-4 with windchill), raining and just plain gross.
We have the thermostat up high (but we have a giant bay window, so it's not as hot in here as it should be) and the electric fireplace.
Sparky got an advil this morning. He has knee problems, and when it gets like this he gets a lot of pain, so his vet said some good 'ol baby asprin.. so he's napping right now, lol! makes him groggy, which is actually a little cute.. he'll let you do anything to him at this point, as long as he can nap.
I've got the motrin rub out for my ankles, spraining each ankle twice is no bueno when it comes to cold.
Oh and we're making soup.

The pain from the dampness, makes me want to blow my back out with a shotgun.
Always remember the What are you thankful for today? thread as there always is something to be thankful for.

Ugh, I know the feeling!! Living in the southwest of BC (north van, which gets the 2nd most percipitation in BC) it feels like I am always sick!!! Just got aver a 4 month long cold....not fun!! Started taking vitamin D and it has worked wonders on my mood. Both my parents had to move away because of what it was doing to them. My Stepdad suffered from S.A.D. and my mom with Lupus, so they moved to Merritt where they get way less precipitation and with in 2 weeks of living there, both of them feel like different people. If only my DH could relocate...works on the waterfront, so a move is not possible :o( Wishing the warmer weather comes quick!!!!

Our camper is open the first week of may, and let me tell you - the first month-ish is HORRIBLE unless you get an 'indian summer' but that never lasts long.

We're depressed here in N.W.Ontario this morning. There is about five inches of heavy wet snow on the ground here with more on the way tomorrow. Now, where's my book!

I'm alright, just sleepy, but it might be the lack of iron in my diet. (I have lots of broken joints, so I'm surprised they don't bother me?)

I hate cold, damp weather
It doesn't really give me any aches and pain it just makes me depressed. If there was snow on the ground I would probably cry, lol

I have my space heater on as I type because I hate the dampness, once I get an internal chill it will stay with me for the whole day.

I get bad headaches when the barometer changes, like just before rain etc. I find though if I take something right away (usually just a regular strength tylonel or advil works) it goes away and doesn't get worse. If for some reason I can't take anything soon enough - watch out.

So funny how the weather affects our mood! Today +5 sunny...to me this was freezing and couldn't wait until the bugers were bbq'd to get back inside. That temp a month ago would have been great
For now, it's the tease of the warm spring/summer that's really frustrating to wait for!
