I have no need for electronics, and I can't afford the amount of bids I'd need to win a tablet or TV or anything. Their return address is in Toronto, so I'm assuming it's open to all Canadian bidders for whatever the item is. The shipping info should be in the product info in the auction, they ship Canada post.
Oh ok thx for the info. I just assumed they were more of a US company so shipping would be inconvenient from them. Do you pay in USD or CAD when you buy bid packs there?

Maybe this conversation should be moved to the http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/canadia...eals-flyers/?? I'm curious if anyone else has used these sites or other sites similar to it.

I would stay away from Penny Auctions Canada . They are crooks . I won stuff on there facebook page and they never sent them out . When I asked about them I was told off through email ... I also played on there site before and I know 100% that jhbidder is not a real bidder he is someone from pac bidding ...

Ahh! Are you serious? Yeah that website is a huge scam it seems to me. I waited forever to find out where my item was as I heard they use UPS. Didn't receive a tracking number, nothing. Turns out my items were sitting in UPS limbo because the idiot there wrote my address down wrong, but refused to respond when UPS contacted them, so I had to.

QuiBids is accredited by the Better Business Bureau and they had a copy of an audit they received they advertise on their site proving they're not scamming anyone. That and I keep winning $10 for $0.02 so I'm happy, hah!

Here's what I think are the pros and cons

Quibids - is probably much better for gift cards because in the event you lose you can always buy the gift card anyway as opposed to bidding and then ending up with nothing.

Penny Auctions Canada or similar penny auction sites - with less users are better for electronics or bigger items simply because they have less users so you are more likely to get a really good deal by exploiting the fact that they are new and you will need less bids.

@couponinginnewfoundland - interesting? how do you know this??

I do beleive you because i was wathcing this site for awhile now and look everyday at the winners of each auction and jhbidder wins way over the amount you can win in a month and i read the rules and you can only win so much of each a month . I factored in the pro and charity auctions and always there . There was a few other names as well on there with same problem. I was tempted but didnt give in going to look at this new site for a bit.

As people may say there are less users on penny auctions then quibids, that doesn't matter because it's an obviously fishy site once you start to use it and see what's going on, I still say quibids is alot better. Even the customer service at penny auctions is horriable. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I have been using Quibids for awhile now. It is a great site if you are willing to be patient with your bids. You have to buy a bid pack ($63 to start CAD).
I win $10 GC's all the time for 1 penny. But after shipping and tax it comes to $3.15
$10-$3.15=$6.85 in profit. So if you won 9 gift cards you would break even.
There is a limit of 12 wins per 28 day period. So if you could win another 3 then you could come ahead $20.55
Also in this scenario with the $63 investment you get 100 bids. So if you don't waste them you could win 12 $10 GC's plus have lots of bids left to use the following month. So even more in profit.
The reason I am going with $10GC's is because they often get overlooked. People are too busy buying the more expensive stuff to get a bigger deal faster. But sometimes the turtle wins. Slow and steady is my motto for this site.
My brother and Sister-in-law have won bigger GC's. Home Depot $100 (OOP $21.06), Wal-Mart $25 GC's (OOP $3.16. Which it means sold for 0.02 plus tax and $2.99 shipping fee). All GC's have a $2.99 shipping charge plus tax. Shopper's Drug mart $50 GC (OOP $5.36) etc.

    Personally I have won 11 GC's (1x $25 Wal-mart, 3 x $10 Wal-mart, 1x $10 Future Shop, 1x $10 Canadian Tire, 5x $10 Zellers/The Bay)
I have received almost all of them. They send you an e-mail confirming and then when they have been sent. Just waiting on 3 Zellers ones. I usually get them within a week, week and a half from when I won them.

I know this is a long post. But it is better to bid around 12pm-3pm (Mountain time). There are way more people on but there are also way more items to bid on. So people often get caught up in the bigger GC's bidding and the $10 ones go for 1 penny. The weekends are the worst because there are more people home bidding. Best days are Wednesday, Tuesday, and then Thursday. In that order.

Good Luck. I enjoy this site. But have a limit. It sometimes feels like gambling. If you get carried away you could loose all your bids and have nothing to show for it.

But with quibids if you bid alot on one item, you can buy it. So you never waste your bids.

I just started using QuiBids and have won 1-$25 future shop g.c/ 1-$25 wal-Mart g.c/3-$10 wal-mart g.c/1-$10 cdn tire/ and a few bid pacs ....I like it buthave to remind myself to behave LOL

The other thing is if you win 3 auctions you can put them in your cart which means when you check out you are paying less on shipping !!

I've been winning for years, and I still don't go for the "huge" prizes. You need way too much ammo. I win TONS of stuff worth $150 - 200 for pennies though.
