I headed to the recycling bright and early this morning looking for brandsavers. Just get there and here comes the truck to dump the bins. Sigh. No brandsavers until later. Decided to hit up a few garage sales to make myself feel better. Garage sale #1 was a bust. She had worn out hoodies priced at 15.00 and craptastic t-shirts at 8.00!
Headed to Yard Sale #2 and I had written down the wrong house number. We had to drive around a bit to find it but I am so glad I did because he had a sign..."Everything FREE". It was the best sale I have ever been to and not because it was free. I tried to pay him actually because it was all stuff I was looking for. My kids need wardrobe updates. I, of course, by them new stuff too but my son is sort of a mod/goth-ish kind of kid and I find clothes for him expensive. Here's what I got....FOR NOTHING!!
Some shoes and boots for me...The great big red boots are for my son. He will unzip some of the parts and wear them lower but they retail at a store here or 249.00. 22 t-shirts for my son. A Reebok hoodie with the 88.00 tag still on it. A Nightmare Before Christmas Hoodie. 9 shirts for me. 11 pairs of jeans including two pairs from QuickSilver. 2 Black Pairs of cargo pants. A pair of Roxy shorts. A red Volcom dress.
The light fixture I paid 5.00 for at sale #3. It isn't wonky like it looks. The arms turn. It's getting a makeover. We are working on a Paris themed room for my daughter(I paint murals). The boring white shades on the chandelier are going to get painted with a city scape in black. At the same sale, I also scored a Bench Hoodie for 8.00 but my pic of it didn't upload!!
