I was just curious if anyone was going to venture out to the Costco Grand Opening on Friday in Fredericton?

I probably won't go anywhere near that place until the "Newness" chasers and Back-2-Schoolers have all had their fill.

I have an invite via the Fton Chamber of Commerce to go to their "pre-grand opening invite only party" Thursday night.. anyone else have one of these invites? I'm wondering it's a fancy schmancy rub elbows thing, or if it's just a tour of the new store?!

a little bird told me that the price of gas at their gasbar is currently 1.179. If this is true then that's quite the savings! potentially $4-$5 per tank compared to stations in town (assuming we all drive small sedans like myself).

Wow, that's an awesome savings! I really want to go tomorrow, but I know it's going to be insane. I've been thinking about going to the hospital for somethings I've had wrong lately, maybe tomorrow would be a good choice because I bet most of Fredericton is at costco! lol

Anyone have a list of promos and/or deals involved with this grand opening? (A flyer scan or list perhaps?)
On the road today, and would venture to fredericton if I thought there was anything worth going for.Last edited by bhlombardy; Fri, Aug 19th, 2011 at 08:38 AM.

I have one home, sorry! I can't remember the specials, there were quite a few. I remember if you buy the Salsa you get two bags of chips for free.

I ended up going on Saturday and while the parking lot was overfull it wasn't that busy inside. I've been in the Dartmouth Crossing on a regular Saturday and have it be busier.
Having said that, I spent most of my time enjoying the delicious samples :DI earned over $150 in free gift cards last year. Click HERE if you want to earn your free gift cards too! All the cool couponers are doing it

We tried Friday evening, circled the parking lot, couldn't get a spot so left. I'll go the week...

FYI the co-op seems to be keeping their gas prices the same as Costco so if you go there on Saturday and pay cash you will get an even better deal than Costco.
