I grew up down the street from the Scarborough Town Centre. I remember throwing tomatoes at the farmer before the town centre was built!

Nope, was watching Deadliest Catch

Phil Harris, captain of the Cornelia Marie, died at the end of last week's episode (he actually died Feb 9, 2010). This episode dealth with the notification to the fleet and the funeral. It was so sad and I found myself actually getting teary-eyed when Keith Colburn, captain of the Wizard, had a little ceremony, packed a pot in tribute to Phil and rang the ship's bell 8 times (nautical slang for "the end").

It's a TV show for pete sake and I started welling up!!!!

Hey! Anyone going to the "Canadian Carnage" Megadeath/Slayer concert tomorrow? My son has tickets that he won way back some time last year. The concert got cancelled and re-sheduled twice now and we're worried that they won't honour his tickets at the door. I've tried searching the web and calling everywhere and haven't been able to get a definate answer if he's good to go or not. Anyone got any ideas?

I rather enjoyed the show, although there were a couple of fails IMO. Faith Hill for one - I changed the channel after the first few bars because she was either singing out of tune or in the wrong key and it hurted my ears....
