I've been thinking that I have a lot of coupons for diapers that work out to numerous free packages with coupon stacking, and I thought it would be a good thing to donate them to a shelter/or somewhere...where would you guys suggest I donate them to? I know food banks..but don't they only need food or I could be wrong?

I have been doing the local food bank......I donate in large amounts...I try and do bunches of 35+....so 35 pkgs diapers, 35 wipes, 35 toothpaste, shampoo, toothbrushes, laundry soap, baby formula, and sometime razors......You would be surprised how many families rely on the food bank monthly and STILL can not afford the basics. If you are unsure where you want to donate call your local Health Nurse and see if she knows of a family in need...( I have a family I help now that I am a couponer ) or there is always the Salvation Army as they are amazingly generous with their help....

Women's shelters are great places to donate as well
I like doing that, and as mentioned above, food banks

I'll +1 the above places. I tend to do the Food Bank (I do a fair amount of work with our local Food Bank), but Women's Shelters are also a great one in need of baby items.

Women's shelters and food banks need these all the time. Any of these places would be happy to have them.

Depending on where you live, your local food bank might have a "baby food cupboard" where they give out formula, diapers, ect.... to the people with babies. You can contact your local Salvation Army or Food Bank or Social Service office and they can point you in the right direction.
In the past, I've donated to a local "resource center" that had an emergency cupboard. They helped people tap into the local resources and services.

many towns may have a "teen mom" program - either through the schools or community services - they would be thrilled to get donations

SOme church groups help familys in need as well.Thru our church we have a theme items to bring each week ex:soup the next week cereal, then next week baby items, etc. We then take everything to the Samaratan House which in turns helps family in need. They will even take fresh garden produce! So we are encouraged to plant an extra row or two in our gardens in the spring to donate .

I just did coupon stacking for diapers & wipes for the first time this past weekend......I ended up with 6 packs wipes & 2 packs diapers..all FREE before tax1
I'm going back today to do a diapers &wipes combo...it'll either be FREE or $1 plus tax.
Now I just need to decide where I'll be donating them to.

All the above ideas are great, and if the coupons are close to expiration you can always pruchase them for the shelter like the above user! Nice to see you're giving back
