Looks like many areas in Ontario are under a tornado watch for this evening. The wind has been picking up, and Im trying to get anything outside put away..just incase.
The news tonight said millions of canadians are under a tornado watch. After seeing the devastating effects of the tornado in Goderich, do you have a game plan or a emergency pack ready?
The news just now updated the "watch" to a warning that means a tornado has been seen. Yikes! This thread is currently associated with: WIND MobileDo you want to buy and sell Bitcoin? Wow, I hope all of you in Ontario will be OK!
We had Hurricane Juan hit us in 2003 (a week after our wedding!). We heard the warnings, but no one thought we'd get hit by an actual hurricane in Nova Scotia. It was a wild night. The next morning, we got up and thought well that wasn't so bad, there were a few little branches in our yard, a few shingles. Then we went for a little stroll around the neighbourhood and saw uprooted trees, power lines down everywhere. We had no power for four days.
Stay safe all!

We're supposed to be hit hard where I am. Just lovely i'm in a camper isn't it? We asked the owners of the grounds what to do if it got bad and they said they didn't know. So.. we're screwed, for lack of a better word. We're right near the water, too. We made an emergency pack of water & dog stuff for Sparky. We can't even leave because we were dropped off here, while her friend was going to his camper not far (kind of like a carpool idea, so Mom didn't have to take out her car) so..

Bella, now I am scared for you and your Mom. No really I am. Is there any building with a basement around there that you could go to till it blows over? I am going down into the basement with Rufus and Murphy till after midnight. I will be thinking all positive thoughts for you too.

Thanks WOB. They usually evacuate to the barn but there is no way in heck i'm going there. It's OLD and very unstable looking. They've also said the public washrooms since it's cement, but the public washrooms are right on the beach, in front of the big lake so .. thats sort of out of the question too.
Sparky's hiding under the living room chair growling to himself, but I kept his leash on him so I can pull him out if we need to leave quick.
We put some water, dog treats, his muzzle and a couple other items in a re-usable bag beside the door, and we tied down our awning on 3 different spots.
Stay safe everyone !!Previously CanadianBella... I'm baaack!

Neighbor came around to help people to secure their yard stuff. I brought in the solar lights in case the power goes out, and charging up the cell phones, laptop, ect.

Have a watch, warning, and a "red alert", yet haven't seen anything yet, not even a drop of rain.

The Weather Network says Pickering to Oshawa is under a watch right now. The sky is dark, but it's not raining or anything.
