I see on the LD website the coupon policy hasn't changed and on their FB wall someone asked last week if the policy had changed and they said no. Honestly idk but Im more than a little irritated if the policy they have available to the public is not updated before they change it in store. We wouldn't have gone in let alone wasted so much time planning the trip if we knew the "real" policy. I feel tricked.
Dont get me wrong I appreciate LD stacking and wouldnt want them to accept coupons they wont be reimbursed for but I feel this is false adverstising.
I should clarify as well I called the 1-800 number and spoke to CS, not HO.Last edited by RosieDaisy; Fri, Oct 7th, 2011 at 11:31 PM. Reason: I see now they are different unfortunatley HO is closed right now :( sorry for any confusion

If you can, try a different location. I had nothing but trouble at the one, and yet the other was a breeze. It's almost as if the manager made up some onerous rules just to discourage stacking. Let your feet do the talking...

I just asked on their Facebook wall last week, and they said no it hadn't changed but when I went today I had problems using my " not to be used in conjuction with any onother offer ". The finish ones..
They opened a book and I saw the page was dated sept 7th. It had a whole bunch of wording and a yes or no beside it to say if it was stackable or not.. I was trying to read it upside down over the counter. It said so many phrases that didn't contain coupon in them and it said no! Some were different by one word. Ie "not valid with ..." or " can't be.." and one would say yes the other no.
The manager let me stack them today, but wrote the wording down and was going to check for next time.
So confusing! I'm sending them another message and emailing HO if it changed it should be posted.

I was looking to use the finish coupons to stack but I was told that because they have the wording of "one coupon per purchase per customer" on it that I could only use one coupon.

daypassdel I'm guessing this was the Duncan LD you went to? That is where I was and I saw the same sheet.
I shot an email off to LD last Friday. They still haven't responded.

Yes it was the Duncan one. I emailed and they responded. I'll copy and paste the first part , as the also attached the coupon policy which is the same one as before.. In short they are going to contact the Duncan store and see what info they are using. Hopefully it gets sorted out soon.. So frustrating!
Thank you for your inquiry.
"There have been no changes to our policy since earlier this year, which I will include a copy below for your review and will follow up with our Duncan location in regards to what information they have on hand.
I certainly apologize for any inconvenience."

I'm sure the cashier the OP is referring to is the same nasty woman who is constantly rude to my sister who shops at the 3 Road and Westminster store in Richmond. Today she was extra rude...seeing my sister come up to the CS desk, instead of saying HELLO or something pleasant...she snidely says to my sister "You do know the coupon rules have changed, don't you?" How horrible is it for London Drugs to employ people like this when there are so many wonderful mannered people out there looking for work!! Okay ...off the soap box....It is so completely confusing to everyone...customers and cashiers alike...between the different stores. It's getting down to where the word 'coupon' appears in the text of the wording....i.e. before or after the words 'purchase' or 'product'. UGH! Get real!
Dear London Drugs HO Management! Wouldn't it be more customer-friendly, simpler and clear for both staff and customers to work on a policy that includes most of the common coupon wording and whether it can be stacked or not. Type up a guide for your staff to follow...post it on your blog...everyone will be happy to follow your rules if they were consistent between stores. It's getting to the point that people will just to shop at Walmart because their prices are alot cheaper!
I love my LD store and the staff there...I'm one of the lucky customers with an amazingly accommodating staff and management! And I don't want to shop elsewhere! But I do feel for my fellow SmartCanuckers who are LD customers, and go through a game of russian roulette everytime they plan out a shopping trip. Who needs the stress!
P.S. maybe a little re-training on customer service is needed for that lady at the richmond store...she knows who she is!

I love the London Drugs in Burnaby on Marine way. All the girls that have helped me there are really nice. Even though I can only price match one item at this location, and they reduce my internet printable coupons to 3.00. Lately I have been shopping at this location because of the friendly servvice I get.

Peanut in Richmond (AKA Jojos in Kelowna's Sista)
Yes, I constantly have issues with the London Drugs stores in Richmond. I have sent another complaint to their Head Office . . . will see what their response is and will post it afterwards.
Really frustrating to say the least.
