OK, working on the analysis now.

A few very promising and one outstanding foodbanker:

Glade Air Care "Starting at 2 for $3" B2G20

So $1.50 each and get $1.40 in AMs

    Effectively $0.10 each.

If you have coupons buy in bulk for the tax receipt!!!!

    All done.

    Consider the Folger's.

Cheapest I've ever seen it at Safeway. If you can get it at a better price elsewhere do so.

Regardless, the price of coffee is about to sky rocket as Columbia's crop this year has been virtually destroyed. I've already laid in a year's supply. You might too!

    Yes, you can.

Occassionally, you get a bonus offer in the flyer or store coupon booklet and a different email.direct for the same product and combined with a manufacturer's coupon you're all smiles. Happened a couple of times with batteries.

Regarding the Folger's at $5.99 at Safeway the same is on at Zeller's this week for $6.49.

Counting the AMs you have a $2/container advantage at Safeway.

I also looked at the large containers at Costco today. They're about 1/3 larger. Can't remember the exact price but I recall prorating came in about the same as Safeway.

I'm sure it's been mentioned here before but I can't find answer. If there's a buy 2 get 20 air miles, does one get 40 when buying 4, or 60 buying 6? Anyone tell me?

Yes, to a maximum 10 offers or 500 AMs per day (or shop) whichever comes first.

    So if you bought:

    10 x 2 you'd get 10 x 20 AMs = 200 AMs

    However, if you:

11 x 2 you'd still only get 200 AMs max as 10 is the maximum offers on those products so 11 is 1 too many offers.

Like wise if something is B2G100 if you buy:

    5 x 2 you'd get 5 x 100 AMs = 500 AMs

    But if you buy:

6 x 2 you'd only get 500 AMs (not 600) as that is the maximum for that offer.

It isn't clear whether it's strictly per shop or per day. We haven't really tested it say as in the first example buying:

    10 x 2 followed by a 2nd shop of 10 x 2 to get 400AMs. (It might be you'd only get 200 total for the day).

I do know some people say they get around this by having a 2nd loyalty card and using it on a 2nd shop but I haven't tried maximizing this way to see if it works.

In theory, the maximum AMs you can get on any one offer in a week is 500 x 7 = 3,500 AMs.

Note: For the newbies (In case you didn't know)

Mix & Match offers such as this week's Smucker's offer which is B5G50 offers means any 5 products. They don't have to be all the same, for instance, you could buy 2 pickles, 2 jam and one coffee = 5 items and get 50 AMs.

Also BOGO (Buy 1 Get 1 Free) offers count as two items so if something is BOGO and B2G50 you only pay for 1 item and still get the 50 AMs. (Note: Sometimes on BOGOs you can still use 2 coupons if you have them. Depends on the cashier.)

Actually an easier example is the Smucker's offer.

    It's B5G50

    If you buy any 50 (10 offers x 5 items) you'll get 500 AMs (10 offers x 50 AMs).

    However, buy any 55 (11 offers x 5 items) you'll still only get 500 AMs (10 offers x 50 AMs) not 550 AMs (11 offers x 50).

One of my favourite AM Safeway buys over the years has been Pantene products just after a BrandSaver coupon booklet comes out. Hey, you can buy in bulk and it keeps for years.

Since oil rose the best price at Safeway rocketed from $3.99 to $4.99 over the last year.

Usually it comes with 10 AMs/item as part of a bulk buy offer which effectively take the price to $4.99 - $1.40 = $3.59/item

I was just in Safeway and it's on for $4.99 with no AMs this week.

However, there is also a Buy 4 Offer at $2.99 this week as well.

$2.99 beats $3.59 after accounting for AirMiles so in all likelihood if you buy this product ithis is a better time than waiting for an AM offer.

What should i do if I didn't get all of the bonus points that I am supposed to? I bought 2 whiskas variety packs b1g15 = 30 plus 2 tubes of colgate toothpaste b2g20. So I think i should have gotten 50 bonus. I only go 20 plus 2 base airmiles.

Sometimes there's old packages on the shelves that haven't been coded for AMs or you can pick up a no-name package that looks similar.

If you're short AMs go to customer service.

They'll do one of two things:

    1) record the missing AMs in a booklet that you're supposed to get in about 6-8 weeks (keep the receipt to call head office if the AMs don't come through).

    or

    2) (My preferred) Ask the CSR to do a "phantom refund-resale". They know what this is and you'll get your AMs immediately recorded on a new receipt (that should appear in your account about a week later).

    Another hint for the Newbs:

The Entertainment book comes with four $5 coupons ($50 purchase) for Safeway.

The book is on sale for $15 and free shipping now with 2 coupons still valid.

Another way to boost your AMs.

    It should show this Friday.

Safeway is good about getting the AMs credited. They are one of the fastest but there's still a 1 to 2 week delay before it shows online.

    Used to be 6 - 8 weeks.

Here's link to the Entertainment books. Prices should be adjusted to $Canucks when you submit. That is it's $15 US or $15 Canadian depending on the book ordered:
