Anyone have any experience with this? As I assume their dispensing fees are high I've never bother dealing with their pharmacies. Is it worth it?

I've just made the switch to Safeway pharmacy from shoppers and the dispensing fees are less. Thats not to say that Safeway is cheaper than say walmart or Costco (<-who has the lowest dispensing fees) but getting 77 airmiles on $19 oop seemed pretty good to me.

Care to explain to everyone how you did that?

The total cost of the medications was $224, Safeway awards 7x the airmiles on the cost before insurance kicks in.

    The dispensing fee was $19?

    It's ~$4/item Costco.

I had 3 medications filled. 1 was under $100 so the fee was $4.00, 2 of them were over $100 so the fee was $7.25 each, with taxes I paid $19.42. The higher fee on prescriptions over $100 is also a policy that shoppers has but I am not sure about Costco.
I should state that I live in a town where 4 out of 6 of the pharmacies are in the same shopping center so that may affect the dispensing fees I pay vs elsewhere (although I may be wrong).

    Ah, ok.. that's not bad.

FYI - you don't need a membership to have a prescription filled at Costco. Just tell the greeter you're going to the pharmacy.

    Yee Haw!

Was just in Safeway looking at some prices on the insert. one item is a B2G20 on Oasis Juice. They are $4 each so:

    $4/$2.95

However, I still haven't cashed in all my free Juice coupons from cereal boxes so if you still have any (good until Aug. 31) they are:

    $0/-$1.05

    Being paid to shop!!!!!

Looked at a couple of others:

Safeway Softly tissue paper (6 pack) on sale for $5.49 (100-3 ply & 150 - 2 ply) as B2G50. Works out to:

$5.49/$2.86 or $0.48/box which is pretty good IMO.

I know some of you like the Piazza Pizza listed as $6.99 on sale for $4.99 and B3G50. Works out to:

    $4.99/$3.26

While I do shop at Costco every so often there isn't one in my town so I would have to drive 20 minutes each way to get refills (that can't be filled ahead because insurance limits the # of refills in a certain period of time). That drive would eat up any dispensing fee savings I may see. So for now 77 airmiles for $19 looks pretty good to me

One thing I do to keep costs down is if I know it's a long term scrip I ask the Dr. to write for a larger amount. I have mild high BP so instead of 30 pills he writes for 100 with renewals. Cuts dispensing fees by 70%.

Did you notice if the oasis juice price and airmiles bonus included the smoothies? My free juice coupons don't cover the 1.75L box but I do have some $0.75 tear pads for the smoothies and just 1 $0.75 tear pad good on any.
