Hey Bob! I did real good today.... HEHE.
$78 worth of groceries and 210 airmiles!
This included a lot of fruit and other basics like milk, eggs, butter and juice, yogurt etc...
I had 8 $1 eggo coupons and 6 $2 rice krispy square coupons AND 1 $2 off raisin bran coupon!!!
I also had other coupons I used. I saved so much money with coupons that the cashier needed to get a special override....
Unlike others here my kids will breath through this stuff very fast...
when they are actively training they need 5000-6000 calories a day!
No wonder money is tight!Looking for: Yogurt (FPCs)

B$100G100AM ($14)
Oliveri Pasta & Sauces @ $4.59 each B2G10 ($1.40) or B4G30 ($4.20)
Effectively B2 = $3.89 each B4 = $3.54 each
Candy Various $1.67 - $2.99 B3G15 ($2.10) or B5G30 ($4.20)
Effectively on B3 subtract $0.70 from each item B5 subtract $.84/item
Kellogg's (again) B5G75 ($10.60)
Jumbo Cereals/Pop Tarts $5.99
Vaious smaller sizes/Vector Bars $3
Special K $4.99
Eggos 1240-1680g $8.99 (I assume you can use the $2 coupons here)Effectively subtract $2.10/item.
You aren't being paid to shop for Eggos this time but the smaller various cereals come close. Not counting coupons if any are applicable effectively they're $3 - $2.10 = $0.90 each
Eggos, with $2 coupons = $8.99 - $2 coupon - $2.10 AMs = $4.89 each
SUPER COUPONS:
In my opinion not so super as Safeway pumps the price before adding AMs. Regardless:
L'Oreal Advance Revitalift (no price given 20% off) B1G100 ($14) Are there coupons in the P&G booklet?
Sunlight Laundry Detergent @ $6.99 each B2G50 ($7 or $3.50 each) effectively $3.49 each
Charmin 16dbl/8mega $10.99 each B2G50 ($7 or $3.50 each) effectively $7.49 each
Nabob Coffee 915-930g $9.99 B2G50 ($7 or $3.50 each) effectively $6.49 each
Unilever: B3G10 ($1.40 or subtract $0.47 each) or B6G25 ($3.50 or subtract $0.58 each)
Dove 2x120g Lever 4x89g or 532ml body wash B1G1 (NPG) Remember B1G1 still count as 2 products towards the AMs
Axe Hair Care $4.99 each
Dove Hair Care $3.99
Sunsilk Hair Care $2.99
Vaseline Lotion various $5.99
Dove Antiperspirant $2.50
Various: B2G10 ($1.40 subtract $0.70 each) or B4G40 ($5.60 subtract $1.40 each)
Shick Quattro/Intuition Blades/Coppertone various $9.99
Right Guard Antiperspirant $3
Safeway Sunscreen $5.99
Hawaiian Tropic $8.99
There are as usual various overpriced other individual products sprinkled throughout the flyer. As it is it would appear the small size Kellogg's (do you really need more cereal) and the B2G50 on Best Buy Cheese in this week's email.direct appear to be the best bet.

I used to sing a bit professionally. Did excerpts from Haydn's Creation to a sold out audience at the Orpheum in Vancouver once. Haven't sung in about 5 years.
Ballroom dancing sort of took over and when I took early retirement we turned our hobby into a home business. Unless you're at the very top there's a lot more money to be made in ballroom than singing. Not that money is the most important thing but it serves as a bit of a gauge as to how well you're doing at what you do.
Since retirement every time I turn around a new part time offer or opportunity presents itself. I have other home business interests outside of ballroom but it's amazing how our hobby has morphed:
teaching
retail/importing
monthly dance
event organization for visiting clincian/performers
We're laughing at the last opportunity:
We put on a monthly dance but it used to be restricted because we were in conflict with a dance with some colleagues. They moved their night so we opened our dance to all comers.
After 2 dances I started receiving phonecalls:
People are saying your dances have the best music in town. Do you mind if I ask who does your music?
I do.
Do you deejay other dances?
I can.
So now people pay me to come to dances I used to pay to get into. I just put the music together, set up the system, turn the music on and party.
Seems long-winded but what I'm getting at is how much fun it is to put more money in your own pocket doing something you enjoy (Field of Dreams).
I enjoy doing this AirMiles thing because it's a fun game with a real, legitimate successful pay off at the end.
As an editor to a financial magazine I really like to stress that if you can start a fun home business go for it. The rewards can be tremendous: financially and mentally.
Off soap box!

WOAH BOB! You are a busy guy! And an editor too!
Well I couldn't dance ballroom if my life depended on it LOL! I can polka a bit...
My singing ability extends to watching the occaisional opera. Would love to watch more but it is too expensive to take a family and we would all fight for the right if only a couple of tickets were bought.... WE have managed to see a few dress rehersal/ school productions.... and they were great too.
My favorite is prob. Don Giovani, or the Magic Flute, but I wasn't fond of the last Production of the Magic Flute by the Van. Opera (indigenous people influence.... was interesting... but I want traditional pleese....).
I also love shakespear and the Bard on the Beach.... I LOVE THEIR COMEDIES!!!!!!!!!
But again it is so expensive to take a family. My soap box is if it is so important to educate the next education to appreciate the classics WHY isn't there a family rate!!!!
Oh, well I know what I will be doing when they all have left home..Looking for: Yogurt (FPCs)
