Like I said unless they want to give me 100's of free chocolate bars I won't be shopping there again lol.
I did bob's job for a week and it's not easy..
Have to agree with Tommy--I still do some SDM shopping, but generally when there's a great deal on enough items that I'd get value on (either via 20X promo, or bonus redemption); mind you, I still hit them for periodic offers (like the November gift card promo).

With Safeway I tend to cherry pick as well, but the AM's can have much more value, especially (as some forum members have I'm sure been annoyed with my postings on) the eAuction. I'm typing this on a MacBook; on Mother's Day, I took pictures at the parties I was at with high end JVC camera; I listen to my iPods via a JVC dual dock; just picked up an iPod and Yamaha speaker last week; all of these procured at the various eAuctions, for far, far less than retail...gee all the electronics I use regularly, except my phone, came from AM's...guess I'm hooked

Anyhow, as I'm sure others will say--shop where you like, with the best deals as you see them. For now, Safeway is it, for me.

I use DropBox to store my Las Vegas pictures, books, etc., online. It works on every device/computer that I use, and gives you 2.0GB of storage for FREE. Use the link below, sign up, and you and I will both get an EXTRA 500MB of storage, for FREE.

Why can't we have a sticky like "Operabob and his followers" or "Operabob and his Airmiles followers"?

Thinking too, with most of the other threads you're alerted to a deal and you either take part in it or not. With Safeway's AirMiles offers there are many combinations and bonuses it's a bit like a crossword puzzle working out what combinations are best for each of us. Keeps you involved in a bit of a game.
I totally agree with you about the Operabob & the Airmiles community being fun. When time allows, I'm a regular poster of the flyer in the SDM forum, but I did see & feel tension a few years ago when reading someof the posts, especially around the "Tell-A-Friend" & missing points incidents. Who bought how many of what & why people buy so much of whatever product? Jumping to conclusions of mega redemptions, bonus redemptions, just too much speculation and drama over there which is why sometimes I readi this peaceful Airmiles community an hour before bedtime - good, friendly and helpful reading pleasure that relaxes me.

Re: making this a "sticky" thread.

I know it's not the same thing, but you don't even need to go thru the main SmartCanucks page to find this thread -- you can create a bookmark in your browser to immediately open the latest page of the thread. That way it's just a click away instead of navigating your way thru several pages to get here.

If you look in your browser address bar right now you'll see the url ends with a number, something like 476. That's the page number. Right now this is the last page of the thread but of course after a few more posts it won't be. The trick is to bookmark page 9999 (or some other large number) and the forum software will automatically change the url and take you to the latest page.

Easiest way is to just bookmark any page on this thread, then edit the bookmark and change the number to 9999.

Hope that makes sense. If you use Internet Explorer bookmarks are called favorites.

Haven't got the flyer with me at the moment but:

    1) There's a B$100G100 for the weekend

    2) Part of the 3 day sale is a BOGO on Herbal Essence. If you have any of the B2G$3.50 coupons that should be good.

There is a $3.50 coupon for Herbal Essence Shampoo/conditioner when you buy 2 bottles. You can only buy a maximum of 6 bottles during the 3 day sale. Does anyone know the price of the shampoo/conditioner? Thanks!
