They gave the "Ninja Blender" for $60 better ratings than the pro models. I bought one at Canada Tire. It crushes ice in half a second. Amazing machine if you need a blender.
OHHH the ninja is amazing... how do I know... my parents have one and I have used it... and a vitamix (dad used that... he doesn't like people playing with his expensive toys... and a juiceman juicer.... they had the wolfgang puck blender too... it wasn't very good.

Ninja vs the very expensive vitamix... the ninja worked just as good without the fancy features for a fraction of the cost. (my parents like gadgets!)

Good to know that it's great as an ice crusher. I love the Ninja 3-in-1 cooking system that I got @ CT back in Feb. How does your parents like the Nutro Bullet? I'm on my 2nd Magic Bullet & use it only for smoothies & making caesar salad dressing only.

As a juicer the nutri bullet didn't make the cut. Instead my parents use their juicer. If someone was looking to start making their own juice Dad says nothing works better than the juiceman juicer. It extracts more and leaves the pulp dryest. (you can pick them up used for cheap)

I like the nutri bullet for our purposes. (Dad gave us his) I like to grind up spices .... I dehydrated some onions last year... it makes fantastic onion powder in a flash. We also like some single serve beverages so it works for that as well and it cleans up easy. The nutri bullet is way more powerful than the magic bullet. The extra power comes at a price... I saw them on sale for $100 this week.

Here are the flaws with the ninja... if you get the one with 3 sets of blades be careful you don't cut yourself. It is razor sharp... the second part is... if your crushing ice and other things the inside of the blender will scratch up a bit... The lid can also be a bit tricky... it won't work unless it is locked in place and you have to unlock it to really add more into it. Just don't rush it and it snaps together pretty easy.

If i had to buy a blender... I would have picked one up used or at a garage sale LOL... we use them but not often enough to warrant a big investment.

I have a rule about buying things... is it going to save me money? With the sausage stuffer it is... the cost of ground meat is around $2 lb... the cost of a decent sausage is starts at $4 and i can control the fat and nitrates when i make it myself.

I spent money on energy efficient light bulbs... that also saves me money in the long run... so i did spend that $100... just on things that will save me money long term.

So if you were like me and didn't have 3 Colgate coupons for this week and I can now get 2 free toothpastes next week as they will be 2.99 on sale with no airmiles. I'll take that.

I went back to my local Safeway store this afternoon to try out the toothpaste deal again. This time, everything worked out. I talked to a manager and he said he couldn't help me explain why it didn't work before. I would have to conclude that cashier error when entering the coupons was the cause of the problem.

My local Safeway carries the small size.
