Safeway's Sweet AirMiles Deals

For me, this week's safeway flyer offer of 95 am if you purchase $200 grocery (safeway) gift card is perfect, esp I need to meet certain $ spend on my new amex card. With the safeway gift card, I can stack or take advantage of other safeway offers (like spend $40 and get 60 am) as well.

I can usually buy $20-$30 of stuff at safeway but anything more than ~$75 is a challenge and takes some planning.

East (Atlantic) had a shop the block offer, buy $200 GC get 100 AM.

I have the same thing on my staples receipt.

If the cashier scanned your coupon it should appear under the subtotal line. That is where mine appear with the offer number 57155 for the spend $40.

The B$200G200AMs offer on a Thrifty's Smile card is back up. Haven't got the flyer so I'm not sure exactly when it starts. Usually just 3 days over the weekend but this time is 6 or 7 days I recall.

Someone needs to test the Thrifty Smile card at Safeway. The gift card you get at Safeway is valid at Thrifty Foods (and all Sobeys banner stores).. seems odd they would have a different one just for Thrifty.

And if you're looking for a stocking stuffer for a female in your life that likes to do their nails, the Essie Gel Couture would be a great gift at 25% off at Rexall. You'll probably have to make them override it in their system to get the sale price, but the flyer clearly states ALL ESSIE, and shows a picture of that strange bottle. They are overpriced at $15, but with the discount are around $11 which is cheaper than Superstore, and it's a great polish. You'd need a colour, and the top coat. It's an amazing polish, and you can see the swatches here.

Cheerios are either a good deal, or not. Flyer has a typo, says B4G100 in one spot, B2G20 in another.

Not much else, hardly worth the time to read, unless they honour that cheerios deal... yeah right!

Side note on the Cheerios... it looks like the flyer says B4G100, the pop up says B2G100 and B2G20, but it also says in case of discrepancy between the two, the flyer is correct... still doubt they will honour it.

Just bought $400 worth of Safeway gc for 2 x 95 am = 190 am. Today is the last day. Then I used the gc to spend $40 to get 60 am. Other than milk, I rarely buy anything at Safeway unless it's on sale.

Safeway gc can be used at all Sobey related stores.

Gotta start using ~16k am soon.

Yes, bought 2 X $100 Sobeys GC's and rec'd 95 AM. I hope to maximize my airmiles with this!
