The big advantage we had more so in the past than now is that we reside in Western Canada where Safeway was...
Plus many of us use the Credit cards too which add quite a bit.
I think I earned over 2000 with Amex just on their Soar into More promo

With Rexall, etc. since might just make 5,000 and if the 1,000 from the "Shop the Block" comes in might JUST qualify for ONYX again.

I did receive an email from them saying I needed to earn about 2,500 to maintain ONYX for 2018.

However, some of us did receive 2 emails from them earlier (after the fiasco) saying we were ONYX through the end of 2018. Possible class action if they claim an error now. ;-)

I am starting to get serious about collecting Air Miles and just got approved for BMO Airmiles card but would love to know which is the best credit card to accumulate the most AMs ?

I haven't gotten any letter from BMO with the 25% elimination of the points. I haven't received any email from airmiles about what I earned in the year. Weird. I don't know why. Any idea why? How about gift card bonuses? Shell Costa coffee bonuses? AMEX year end bonuses?

Amex has been offering the best airmiles promo's...
BMO is almost dead. Their promo's have been pathetic the past couple years and they just completely eliminated the 25% North American discount (which used to be 25% discount anywhere 2 years ago) on the Gold World Card and reduced it 15% for the World Elite all starting Jan 15th 2018
