Thread: Small PM brag

I went to No Frills today to do my big grocery shopping trip for the month, with coupons and flyers in hand! I got FREE Chapmans ice cream, Tostito con queso dip (with a cz coupon) and cheese (from old el paso box, which I price matched to walmart!), but I also had a lot of price matches, WAY more than I have ever had before.
I price matched:
Green Giant Frozen Veggies
Philly Dip
Philly Cream cheese
2x Michelinas dinners
Lysol Toilet bowl cleaner
Old el Paso Fajita kit
2x Ristorante Pizzas
Old Mill Bagels
Whole mushrooms
St. Ives Facial Scrub (plus used a coupon!)
Chunky soup
Bausch and Lomb Lens Solution
I told the girl up front that I was doing a lot of price matching and a few coupons, and she called a manager, who brought me to my very own till! So, no dirty looks, sighs, or eye rolls were aimed at me at all
I saved about $17 in coupons, and probably close to $30-40 in price matches, let alone the regular sales they had on at the time! That is by far my biggest savings yet! I only paid 89.86 for my entire month of groceries!!
I LOVE SC!

My No Frills (Harvard rd. in Guelph) has been price matching for a while, probably upwards of a year or more, but I have only been taking advantage of it since I joined SC. I usually save at least $15 every time, though I just happened to get lucky this time with things being in stock and lots of sales on things I needed.
I should note, that the $89.86 is only feeding one person, and that I will likely have to run out in a couple of weeks for milk and a few veggies, but it is safe to say that my total for the month will be under $100 for the first time since I started keeping track almost 2 years ago!

how can you grocery shop for the whole month, what about fresh produce!!

I mentioned in another post above that I will have to go out and get some produce and milk in 2 weeks or so. Veggies once I run out I usually start using more frozen than fresh. I have my meal schedule down pat lol.
I could go twice a month and spend less each time, but I really hate grocery shopping, especially in a store that is right next to campus!

WTG! That is an awesome brag. Price matching saves so much time going to other stores. $100 month for groceries is aweome.

Fabulous brag!
... I'm earning $5-25 Amazon.ca gift cards EVERY month, are you?
P.S. ... starting to hunt for ShoppingChannel GC's with no minimum purchase ...

Send PM

I was so nervous to PM for the first time too.... I put it off for so long because I thought I would get denied or something. I was just being a nerd. But now I can't stop PMing.. LOL.
