I would give it to you if there was any TR, but there was no meat whatsoever, some salmon burgers, shrimp, chicken which was transferred to the upstairs fridge in time. Only a lot of frozen veggies, juices, bread etc. etc. Time to buy a new freezer, I find them really handy.

.....anyone on here ever go to the dental school to get work done?.....it takes longer, naturally, but work is done by those aiming to be dentists, so they need practice.....better pricing as well....I am thinking ahead a couple of weeks when our dental coverage is gone, and hubby's workplace will be closed down....TR

Question o the day... what is your worst drinking experience?

Mine was in grade nine. We skipped school, stole a bottle of rum from a friend's parent's and I got so drunk and sick that they had to call my mom to come pick me up. I lay on the floor in the backseat and when she started the car I yelled "Don't drive so fast!" I've never been so sick in all my life. Didn't help that one buddy was spinning me around and flinging me into the couch over and over again and all I had in my stomach was a plate of fries & gravy.

A couple of weeks ago at jewelry class/social night, one of the girls had picked up some funky looking beads that she thought were quite quirky...until someone teased her about her "fish eyes", so she handed them to me. So on Mon, she got to see my twisted sense of humour. She was laughing so hard tears were streaming down her face.

Also a grade nine story. I met up with some of my friends in the school parking lot on the last day of school before the Christmas Holidays. It wa about 8:00am. My friend brought a bottle of vodka & we had a bit of orange juice to mix it with. Her & I began to drink it straight after we ran out of mix. Although there was a group of us gals, only Loocie & her pal were partaking. I told my friends not to worry about me getting sick, because I didn't have any breakfast.

Long story short.........very intoxicated to the point of not having much in the way of remembering much of that experience. My parents were not impressed. My friends got me home in a taxi (where for some reason....I was ill).

To this day I have never been that out to lunch again.

They say we live & learn.

I think I was grounded over the Christmas Holidays for that one.

New Years Eve, 199...2? Maybe?

I was drinking Southern Comfort, straight with ice. Toward the end of the bottle, I wasn't feeling well, went to lie down in my ladyfriend's bedroom. Maybe 20 minutes later, she comes in, has her way with me, then goes back to the living room with our friends.

Maybe another 20 minutes after that, the room starts spinning. Normally this is no big deal, but this particular time, it felt like it was spinning vertically AND horizontally. I got up to make a run to the bathroom, but didn't realize that she'd left my pants around my ankles. I made a faceplant, got up, managed to shimmy past the living room (pants still around my ankles) through the kitchen and into the bathroom just in time to hit the toilet.

Wow, couple of busy days Wednesday and Thursday. Thanks for the words and reps. I will return the favour over lunch.

So, unfortunately, I'm heading to Paris again in mid-September, so I will not be in town for the Toronto The Wall show, or even the Chicago one. If I hear a word, I will post it, but I won't be entering the contest.

But I guess being in Paris is not all that bad either, even when you're there to work

I must admit, I've never been sick from drinking too much. I've been quite drunk a few times, so the room was spinning (Happy hour in Bahamas when I was 20 or so; open bar at someone's 40 birthday party bash). I've been hungover, but never sick.

I don't think I've ever drank it straight again... always mixed with 7-Up. Or Root Beer. There's a new Cherry Crush, I'm sure it'll taste pretty good with that!
