    every Wed morning is my weigh and measure day here at home. Since last Wed I have lost 2.5 lbs and 1.5 " from what I call the big 3 ( bust,waist,hips ) and a further 4" on the other areas. With this heat wave in Ontario I should sit out back and sweat more away! lol

    Many people I chat with ( not here ) don't understand that it has to be a slow weight loss ( well 2 lbs per week) for it to be considered healthy. This week I only lost 1 lb. but that is still o.k. Just wait till I get back out there walking next week!!

    For me, 1.6 lost this week. I didn't lose or gain the week before. We had spent the previous week-end through until Monday at a high-end corporate event complete with 6 buffet meals, wine flowing like a river, and dessert bars galore. I was happy to make it through that week without gaining an ounce!

    Thanks! On another note, I am getting a little bored with my 'menu' these days. I really need to spend some time trying some new recipes.

    oh yes Dianne boredom does happen, especially on certain restrictive diets where it seems more is prohibited. Well what sorts of restrictions does yours have? Are you counting calories? Or another method? I have to make sure my produce is very fresh or it is a turn off to prepare things.For veg, the crispier and brighter the colours the better for me. The fruit, have to lots of choices available and I take a tiny bit of each when allowed.

    I'm doing Weight Watchers but find I'm stuck in a bit of a rut. I do the on-line version because I leave for work at 6:45 a.m. and get home at about 5:45 p.m. It doesn't leave much time or energy for going to actual meetings, although I know they would be helpful in terms of food and recipe ideas. I'm lucky to live near lots of vegetable and fruit stands, so with summer here I am enjoying lots of fresh fruit and veggies. In reality, I need to do some menu planning so that I'm not always grabbing lunch items on the way out the door to work.

    Could not have said it any better. Menu planning is the one thing that prevents us from making the bad choices. I know because I made some bad choices just last week! lol. I am lucky enough to have my DD doing this with me, so when I make up all the meals and portion them, I make at least 3 different meal options, and then we actually can have a preference, instead of
    saying " oh Lord, pasta again? "
    I can see that a huge chunk of your day is taken up by work, and that in itself is a hurdle. The motivation might be there in the a.m. but the momentum wanes somewhat, and I would think it is difficult to sustain after 12 hrs. That is when the snacking can start, well I find that anyway.
    We love our fruits and veggies too! So many on sale at this time.
    Keep thinking positive!! Eventually we will reach our goals!

    My surgery is, finally!, tomorrow morning. I can't wait for it to be all over, to recuperate, and to get my mind back in focus and back on the ball with WW again. I feel like I've got a lot of lost time to make up where I've been so unfocused, but gladly, I have not gained. *whew*

    I had my weigh in today... and even after pigging out on sunday night...( within my weekly points) I lost 2.3lbs! yay me! got another 5lb sticker today!!!
